Ill get a vid up later. u have ur amp wied to 4 ohms ? Nope its wired to 2 ohms. If you cant find how it is wired down to 2 ohms somewhere in here PM me and ill explain Maybe Nick is talking about 3500 clamped amps... Because a smaller box has less rise then a bigger box. Smaller boxes means u have less rise and more power availible, and that's why the TC sounds LMS ULTRA needs smaller enclosure's to perform better. Sorry, but i forgot how big the box is and to what it's tuned to with how much port area. If u have 3500 clamped RMS the SMD will be louder in the bigger box. But i suspect it has big rise in the bigger side of the enclosure. (can u measure the rise CJ?) I can but it will be this weekend. Everything you see I have done by myself with no help. I will have some help this weekend so I will get my amp clamped and my alts clamped as well.

I bet I can make that one 8 as loud as either of the 18s you have. But seriously, how many times must people explain the major reason why drop in tests are wetoddid? You want to do it right, then do like bioler and a few others have said. Multiple boxes, etc. I'll put money that they will out perform each other in different set ups, environments, etc. Oh and love how people call out the SMD sub just from that dark ass short vid. (BTW, I am not a SMD sub fan. Never heard them or tried them. Honestly, I like your old set up with the solo-x's) Blown

I been waiting for another sloane show. To everyone else. Im not bashing the SMD. Im just not impressed with it. With the extremely nice installs with people that know how to build. Ive seen ONE that was inpressive. I just dont think a high end sub should HAVE to take near 5K to really get moving and get loud. Grante it may sound good, who doesnt want a sub like that to get loud too? Im not here bashing Codys build. Hes got skills and is doing great. Everyone knows there more to a sucessful build then just a woofer. All I said was i wasnt impressed, simple. I didnt say any obscene comments. Now keep up the good work Cody!!!

I am the type of person who won't bash without experience. I haven't worked with them and know a lot of shit we do is not just the subs, but everything else as well. If a sub requires more power than you are willing to give them, then maybe this isn't your sub. BTW, you have a build log, sure would like to see it! Blown

I am going to go with a 6cuft per sub after displacements sub forward port up drivers side design. That has been my favorite of the 3 I have tried and im just not willing to keep throwing money into boxes right now. I will run both subs in this box and they will be different I know this.
