Now I'm not doubting your numbers or trying to hate in any way, but I honestly feel your numbers should be higher. The only reason I say this, is because my dads 97 tahoe with 6 jl w6's, 12" on two power a800's hit a 151 back in 2002. Don't remember what comp it was, but he competed i n spl and took second with it. I tried finding his scores online but he was never an official member so they weren't recorded. Also would him having a sealed box vs ported make a difference? I'm still learning a crap load from this site and others so don't flame me please, just educate me.

His score would be about a 143-144dB on the current meter used since late 2003

im gonna say he was tuned high as hell if he competed in "SPL". i believe steves box is tuned low and he can still hit good number. why the fuck has it been all numbers on the forum lately. if you dont hit high numbers your setup is shit. fuck you numbers i say make a daily gp and call it a day. if the shits loud to your ear and your making people bail out after 10 seconds i say your loud as shit. no numbers needed

actually almost everyone that gets in my ride THINKS they know loud. Almost all of them are "bassheads". You think i just find people "on the street" who never heard bass before... and pummel them? WRONG. 99% of the time im at a car show or simply driving down the street and they approach ME. Why do you think that MOST the time i ask them if they ever heard beat before? They almost ALWAYS say ya, and its always "6 15's" or something like that.....Anyway, Some get out when the bass hits, some dont. Go watch more of the vids, i post those up too. I dont know why your not in my video, maybe you just didnt make the cut. I dont even remember what you look like.

oh, who is bitching because "they cant get first place"? My Tahoe is not even SS 3-4 anymore, its now Extreme. Ok so i wont get first in extreme, with a streetable daily vehicle, but im not bitching about it. I dont honestly even give a damn. And no, i dont care about numbers much anymore, (unless i get an SPL burp vehicle). I built my Tahoe for enjoyment, a little bit of competition (which ive done a LOT of with it) and the numbers after 6yrs still arent bad.

I don't think skittles meant to offend you Steve. I think he was actually defending you and exposing why you have all the haters. And he was just referring to the forum in general about people bitching about number lately. Just people talking on the forums about "this person should be louder" or "that's it" or stuff along those lines. That's what I got by reading it atleast. Skittles seams like a good guy and gave me some decent info not too long ago so just don't want you to think he doesn't enjoy watching what you do and such. Maybe I'm wrong but I think that's what he meant at least.

LOL... getting put under the microscope on your own forum... everyone be happy and be loud... dam... who gives a shit whos got a bigger dick... no matter who you are, someone will always be louder... but, I agree, to me a daily driver that does decent numbers is way more impressive than some shitbox burp car that has to pushed to the lane and has no seats or mids and highs... I think they should make it a rule that the car has to get there on it's own power, that the electrical system should power the amps, not some 18v battery bank that has to be charged seperately and there should be somerequirement of having some type of mids and highs sound quality, hell, at least mids and highs... just my opnion...

other words... I am not impressed with burp boxes and could care less to see them at shows... pound that shit all day long wide open everyday, that impresses me...

I know you used to compete, but i thought you got out of it cuz you knew you couldnt get as loud as the competition... kinda like couldnt hang anymore... its ok though, theres a lot of old timers out there trying to relive their youth...

Would LOVE to see you build something for competitions, and shut all the people up that dont think you can do it anymore...

I am sure its coming.... maybe finally do a SPL build with the SMDs... since people seem to think they cant get loud
