What up Steve!! Its been a while since I've posted anything. I've just been coming on every now and then checking out your progress on the Caddy truck and its simply amazing so far. Those A-Pillars are going to sound ridiculous because mine do as well. Just a quick question on the 10" woofers in the doors. Are you going to create a little enclosure behind them to separate the air space from the components? I wouldn't want the components to get affected in any way.

thanks.....i kinda already stated what i was going to do but its a ton of reading so i dont blame you for not knowing..

i probably wont do anything behind the 10. It is midbass and will be tuned from 80 and up. It shouldnt overpower the 6.5's where it is tuned at. Oh it will move but being freeair in the door and not being completely sealed will probably keep it from hurting anything. The door will be deadened and braced however i have to do it but i dont think it will be a problem..if it is, i will deal with it

In case you hadn't noticed through the entire log, every time Meade lifts a finger we get the full documented + photographed story, which is what makes it probably one of the best logs on the net, totally aside from the fact that the build is completely insane

Its probably already been said somewhere, but whats the deal with pigment over resin? Stronger? Easier to work with?

Just coloration of the resin.

He mentioned it already.

doesn't change the properties of the resin (although when I used some it seemed to speed up dry time a tiny bit) other than the color which "could" be useful if you were laying a bunch of layers and sanding or cutting thru it and wanted to know how "deep" through the material you were...like a guide coat.

Other than that just looks better/already painted compared to Ugly glass yellowish brown.
