bigaltexas
okay well.. i gotta quantum amp. its a qca4500d. its say max 4500 watts.. and then like 2250 at 1 ohm rms. it has 3 "30" fuses. can yall tell if this amp really could come close to doing 2250 at 1 ohm? or even like 1500? dont just throw numbers out so i believe the wrong thing, im looking for an "expert" answer.. thank ya. Skullz
Probably close to 1000w rms on it. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
bumonskateboard6
Lets do some maths: 90 amps of fusing * 14.4v (perfect voltage input)= 1296wrms however that is in an ideal situation so lets say it has 75% efficiency at one ohm 1296*.75 = 972wrms is probably the best you're gonna see out of it. Low voltage doesn't blow amps. That's a myth. A router that does the sub holes makes rounded edges also?

bumonskateboard6
so whats the little formula? amp fuses multiplied by voltage going in? yup, watts amperage and voltage are all related in simple algebra equation V*A=W plug in 2 and solve for the remainder Current Systems: 2011 BMW 335i Hertz HDP1 DC LVL3 12" Full Carbon Fiber 2002 Acura TlKenwood DNX9980HD2 DCLVL4 12" Subs with LVL5 Parts D.7 CoilsDC 3.5kHertz HSK-165 up front HCX-165 RearHertz HDP4 AmpDC Power Engineering 260 Amp AltBig 3 and amp powered with KNU 1/0XS Power D2400 Up Front i pulled out my dick in class many of times and had it shown. get over it bitch...stupid open legged hairy beavered bitch... going over rms = smaller box, under rms = bigger box... bigbodylexus
A good way to "Eyeball" guess is to multiply the total fuse ratings by 10, in your case 3 x 30 = 90 x 10 = 900 1990 Chevy Suburban (Big Booty Judy) (4) Sundown Audio Zv5 18's (1) Sundown Audio Salt 12K (1) Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 (1) Sundown Audio SAE-50.4 (2) Crossfire ST-1 Tweeters (2) Obsidian Audio ST-1 tweeters (4) Sundown Audio Neo Pro v3 6.5's Saving 2nd Bass
Sanitarium
A good way to "Eyeball" guess is to multiply the total fuse ratings by 10, in your case 3 x 30 = 90 x 10 = 900 This is usually more accurate then V+A=W due to efficiency loss.. most amps run 70% to 75% effeiciency
TeamHT
I don't know about more accurate but I do check fuse ratings and figure max possible power. I honestly wouldn't expect that amp to make more than 900 watts. There are a lot of factors when looking exactly how much an amp will make: wiring, voltage, temperature, length of runs, so if you're not going to clamp its all guesswork. On a side note I do love 4500 watt amps with only 90amps worth of fusing, lol Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
