STEvil
they lose magnetism when subjected to heat. Dont make them hot. MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. bobmcbob_345
they lose magnetism when subjected to heat. Dont make them hot. neodymium magnets that are used in speakers typicaly don't start degradeing untill they reach 450+ degrees. As far as I know, standard adhesives that hold together voice coils break down around 300 degrees

bobmcbob_345
can you upgrade any sub to them or do specific companies make them or what? No you won't be able to upgrade to neo magnets on a subwoofer. It's a whole different motor design than a ferrite magnet, but as far as companys go, fi just came out with the btl n2 and incriminator has had their warden series out for awhile
cjvue
now just you wait, neo seems to be the next shift as demand grew to drive the cost down.
