LT.Smoke
This is why i get premium gas not only is there less water in it you get better gas mpg (not much but maybe 1-3 mgp better) also when it gets cold heat is a great thing to add to avoid it as well. 1 bottle of heat will treat your whole tank of gas. I will be the 1st to tell you thats not always the case... I have owned 2 different cars taht got better mileage out of Regular Gas and not the premium shit... Loudcivic
yup fuel filter is junk most likely. but i have to add that your fuel pump can still work and you can hear it but it could be bad. when fuel pumps go not all of them just dont work anymore. my fuel pump in my bonneville was acting up i would have like 5-15psi and the car would stutter and not want to run. i replaced it and i have had no issues. your car should have anywhere from 45-55psi at the schrader valve on the fuel rail were you pushed on and some gas came out. you need to replace the fuel filter and try that first then try starting it. if that dont work then im gonna say its your fuel pump since it seems like pontiacs have an issue with fuel pumps going 2015 silverado crew cab nothing atm but soon... BeAlLsTaR13
alright so the garage has been heating for about 1.5 hours, went out to start it the car started but died.. started again and it ran like shit (if the line was frozen the water is passing through) so i pushed the valve and clear liquid came out, about 2 spray paint cap fulls... it looked like a combination of heet/water and smelled like gasolene however i tried starting it again and no go (ice still in a line) and the valve nothing let out this time so im continuing to heat it still Team Sundown Audio**CURRENT** -- 2012 Scion tC Build Click Here **OLD** -- 2002 Pontiac Grand AM Build Click Herecheck them out, slap me a comment2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE 2.2l 4 cylinder ecotec.-------------------------------------------------------------------Head Unit - Alpine CDA-9887Subs - 2x Z 12 v.2s - v.3 + NS Soft partsAmplifier - Sundown Audio SAZ-3500DEnclosure - 3.33 Cubes tuned to 34.66hzFront Stage - JBL P660c 6.5" ComponentsRear Deck - Powerbass 4xl 6.5" Mid-RangeFront Stage Amplifier - Sundown Audio SAX-100.4DWires - Kicker Hyperflex 1/0, KnuKonceptz 1/0, Knu 4 and 8 Gauge, Kicker RCAsElectrical - 275 AMP DC Power H/O Alternator, XS Power S3400, XS Power D2700Videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/BeAILsTaR13-------------------------------------------------------------------
chewie
This is why i get premium gas not only is there less water in it you get better gas mpg (not much but maybe 1-3 mgp better) also when it gets cold heat is a great thing to add to avoid it as well. 1 bottle of heat will treat your whole tank of gas. also maybe your car is ready for a tuneup as well fuel filter, plugs, air filter, oil change there is no less water in premium gas. its ethanaol it absorbs water like a sponge. also if your car is not designed for premium then your wasting money buying it adn wasting gas mileage. example. my geo metro ran like dogshit with premium. thats because premium burns too slowly for the motor. i got approx 40 mpg on premium and approx 50 on 87. the motor was designed to run on 87 cause it burns much hotter and faster. it ran a shit ton better. now. heres the process that happens when you turn your key forward. fuel pump primes.. then it doesnt come back on until the ecu sees a signal from the cps (crank position sensor) or cam position sensor once the motor is rotating then the fuel pump will come back on. so push on the valve on your fuel rail while someone cranks the car.. see if your getting fuel. also spray a good shot of starting fluid down the brake booster line.. the thick rubber hose going to your brake booster on your firewall.. if the car will fire and run and you have fuel at the rail then your coolant temp sensor is at fault and not telling the ecu how much fuel to spray for cold starts. 91 dodge colt gt.. 4 custom t600 15s audioque 3500d.1 tuned to 25 hz... stay tuned. blazer stroker 15 brutus bxi2006d terrible voltage drop 145.4@38HZ... BeAlLsTaR13
problem solved, frozen fuel line ftl.. heating the vehicle allowed some of it to break away which is why we had gotten one start out of it.. few hours later got it to turn over again and run for about 1-2mins till it knocked out.. we pushed the valve on the engine and a bunch of clear liquid (water) with gas smell poured out, filled about 2 spray paint capfuls of this liquid and stopped when we started seeing a darker, stonger smelling liquid (gas).. pulled the intake manifold off and sprayed ether straight into the engine block fired right off, slow put put at first but after running about 30 seconds it began to run fine... pos NY gas Team Sundown Audio**CURRENT** -- 2012 Scion tC Build Click Here **OLD** -- 2002 Pontiac Grand AM Build Click Herecheck them out, slap me a comment2002 Pontiac Grand AM SE 2.2l 4 cylinder ecotec.-------------------------------------------------------------------Head Unit - Alpine CDA-9887Subs - 2x Z 12 v.2s - v.3 + NS Soft partsAmplifier - Sundown Audio SAZ-3500DEnclosure - 3.33 Cubes tuned to 34.66hzFront Stage - JBL P660c 6.5" ComponentsRear Deck - Powerbass 4xl 6.5" Mid-RangeFront Stage Amplifier - Sundown Audio SAX-100.4DWires - Kicker Hyperflex 1/0, KnuKonceptz 1/0, Knu 4 and 8 Gauge, Kicker RCAsElectrical - 275 AMP DC Power H/O Alternator, XS Power S3400, XS Power D2700Videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/BeAILsTaR13-------------------------------------------------------------------
