Besides, a socialist party spokesman in 2008 said Obama was not a socialist and that the candidate closest to a socialst was Sarah Palin. After all, when governing Alaska, she taxed all the oil companiea and sent a check worth over $1K to all the Alaskans. 2000LaDe Posted January 3, 2011 Report Share Posted January 3, 2011 thats why you own several vehicles. one to daily drive that gets 30+ mpg and a toy that u can drive whenever you want that might get crappy gas mileage but thats why its a toy. you dont always have to drive it. inflation is a bitch and there is nothing anyone can do about it. once the price of fuel goes up the price of everything goes up because it cost so much more to get a product somewhere. simple as that. nothing you can do about it either besides get a bike and pedal your ass to and from work. The gas prices are controled by the producing companys and the gas stations. The government controls the gas TAX. the TAX is how Obama will raise gas prices. Its rumored if it happens it'll be at 5 a gallon in 2013. Which is why im getting a diesel and using some sort of alternative oil(i lilke the transmission fluid idea thanks poster what modifacations were needed?). The idiot president wants to raise the gas tax to cover the deficit for repairing the highways which is what the gas tax is used for. The federal highway fund.
