I've got s fiber optic blade on he front of my 34 and it's basically a red dot at close range. So yes I do practice it. From the draw to a single round on target or two rounds etc. if you're really interested in shooting and technique like point shooting and hard target focus etc. you need to check out Brian enos forum. Mainly because I didn't want to go to a match as a new guy and deal with that stuff. I think pistol matches has been a pretty good thi for me.
