Damn!

Clean work Dude!!!

Love it.

Moarrr!

Hey, you know what's funny, ever since I saw your vid of the linear actuator, I wanted to do that. I'm not sure I left myself enuff room on the sides underneath the amp rack to install one, but that was the plan (I may have shorted myself room while trying to maximize the rack size. It would be epic to get the piece automated! What brand actuators did you use?

It takes a lot of creativity to do something original. Its not even the big things that will make your work pop its the small things. Something small and unique can really make a difference in the final project.

Awesome!

I LOVE mine. So nice to be able to move mine up and down with just a button press. ;)

Would be great to see others try it out as well.

This is the one I got:

http://www.firgelliauto.com/product_info.php?cPath=76&products_id=14

Its got the shortest body I could find with the stroke I needed and the force I wanted.

Things to keep in mind:

There is a LOTTT of force applied to the hinge that attaches to your seat. Mine as teared off many times so make sure to BOLT it down as well as you can.

Given that fact, don't buy an actuator that has 100's of lbs of force, unless it has a stop-feedback function when you are fully open or closed.

You don't want all that available force to push the actuator further then necessary.

Another secret tidbit that learned while testing that I never would have guessed.........

When burping tones, my system is about 0.4dB louder with the seat up at a 45 degree angle. :o
