Amplifier Trouble Shooting Issues

Head Unit- Pioneer DEH-X6600BT

Speakers- 4 x Pioneer TS-A1685R

Amplifiers- Autotek Mean Machine M4000.1

- Pyramid America 2000 watts

Power Caps- Boss Cap 8.0 Farad

8 Gauge Ground and Power wire

Subwookers- Two 15 inch Earthquake Tremor-X154

- Two 10 inch Boss P106DVC

Here's another question. When I turn my stereo up the highest that it will let me go without cutting the subs is 45/60 or 75% is this like natural or...? I realize my stereo shouldn't go louder than 75% and that's where I tune everything but is it bad for them to cut at this level or should they be able to withstand higher volumes?

You are supposed to set your amp gain based on your head units maximum un distorted output.

You need an oscope or a dd1 to tell you that. Hopefully a your deck is clean higher than 45/60

So it all works fine till you turn the head unit past 45?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

faulty distribution block? please take your car to a shop to have this looked at before you burn your car to the ground.

Faulty distribution block? What's there not to get? By replacing the p.o.s. block with a different more efficient one I solved my problem. My subs will completely shut off after 45 and then come back on after I've turned it down a bit. I don't usually go over 45 in the first place

I'm with n8ball man. Take your car somewhere before it burns to the ground.

Instead of replacing the "pos" distribution block maybe replace your pos equipment. Cheap stuffs ends up costing more in the long run. I learned everything I know from online forums and the likes about car audio.

I read the first post and thought this was a troll thread, but I'm starting to think it's serious! I will not touch this with a 10 foot pole.

OP, please find someone who knows what they're doing to check and install everything and for the love of God buy yourself a fire extinguisher and some bolt cutters so you can snip wires and put out the fire when you see smoke.

This isn't a joke and it's not us being mean. There's simply too much wrong here to address and the more considerate and thoughtful members don't want to give you "advice" because they know they'll feel bad when you burn your car to the ground or start blowing up equipment.

If things are "cutting out" something is dreadfully wrong. Seriously, remove the power cable from the battery immediately and take it to a professional.
