Hey everybody. Within the next year I'm looking to put a system in my 2000 Chevy Tahoe. I originally planned on doing two Rockford Fosgate T2 12s and a T2500. Well i have been looking around quite a lot and I've become interested in Sundown Audio. Does anyone have any reviews on their x12 dual 2 subwoofer and the SAZ-5000D Amplifier? Also my budget is about 700-900 for subwoofers, and somewhere under the 2,000 range for the amp. So all suggestions are appreciated and taken seriously. But i would like to go with anything above 2500 watts. Any other Companies i should be taking seriously, companies with good pricing? (rockford seems to charge a lot just for their name) P.s Again, if you have any other ideas, please feel free to post them Thankyou, Jon

Sundown is not expensive compared to companies like JL. RF - Sundown - DC - CT Sounds and many others are all good. Everyone has brands they prefer. Yes the power in both my builds is RF, but speakers are crescendo's, Fi, RF, and Sundown. And yes my Sundown sub performs great :-) Which is my Sundown review as initially requested

Sundown is just an expensive option, a lot of companies are cheaper and the same quality, don't limit yourself to only two company options.

I run a single 10" Sundown X and wow! I use to have a T1 and the X doubled the bass output, most people I let hear it are amazed that it is a single 10". Sundown all the way. Other awesome subs are Fi audio and Ascendant audio and here is one most here don't run but is a beast the MTX 9500 this sub has a massive 4" coil and can take a pounding!

Don't mean to offend, but they look pretty standard. Nothing special jumps out to me. Would think for another buck could have better terminals.

My point is running low voltage put alot of stress on the amplifier and can cause damage. If you are competing, that is one thing. I dont think you will be beating the hell out of your amp at 11v all day at a show unless you just sit there and demo which wouldnt be smart. If you are competing and drop into the 11s, it is most likely for 30 seconds at the most. I am speaking in terms of a daily driver. 11v when talking in battery terms is a dead battery. Why would you want to run your battery dead when powering your amp?
