  1. Exactly 10 days ago i ordered my 26" Forgiato 3 Piece "Concavo" wheels from Kustom Kings. I wanted 28's but they were just a little out of my price range. Believe me, the 6's ain't "cheap" either, but a lot easier on the wallet especially when i just ordered the brakes. I don't even want to talk about what i spent (the things we do for the love of our vehicles ). Anyhow, today i get a text "do you have an Ipone". I am like "yup". So when Kustom Kings wants to facetime you, 10 days after you bought rims, you better pick up! And there is more to it than that. My fuckin' good friend Chicken made a secret phone call last week and between him and Kustom Kings, they made my wheels grow 2 more inches. So now i actually have 28" Forgies!!! The plan, in case you missed it. They will be powder coated Monday (i hope). The colors i decided on are a high gloss black dish, matte black face, high gloss black bolts and lugs. I had to buy the black floating cap. Sorta like the RR, the center cap sits still. SICK!! I also have big fat white Wilwood brakes behind those mammoth black wheels. (6 piston, 16+" Rotors). I will probably have them ceramic coated so they shed dirt and water. The white will be OK because i take care of my rides..so don't worry So the following pics are just some screen grabs of the wheels fresh from Forgiato. They will be powder coated and assembled early next week. I am hoping to be riding by Thursday or sooner. Brakes by the end of the month (paid for just waiting on powder coat white)

  2. It was about 1990. I had just wrecked my very first car (my 1975 Celica). I had a system but no more wheels because you know a brotha didn't have no damn full coverage.....so i slapped all my stuff into my friends car so we could have some BEAT while we were in his ride. I had some Coustic amps and he just got a Rockford Fosgate punch 45. I had a Sega and a black/white portable TV so i decided to also install that in his 1980 Honda civic. I put the screen in the glove box. Thank god there is no pics of that because i am sure it didn't look that great . But one thing that caught my eye when i was digging through the old pics. Even 26 years ago i was trying to keep my amps cool some how, even if it was a REAL thermostat from a house BWAHAHAH....gotta do what you gotta do. I remember that not working very good although it barely DID work. These are things that stewed in my mind for decades until i met my friends Tony and Juan (D'Amore Engineering). I pitched the idea and they made it happen. This is why it is one of my all time favorite, most underrated product. The TM-1 is amazing! Anyway, back to the old school pics. This thing had 2 15's, i am trying to remember what they were in THIS pic but i know there was about 3 different brands before he wrecked his car and i ultimately got my stuff back. i know one thing though, even back then i was doing the RF Diamond stencil So to all you young, smart ass whipper-snappers who seem to know it all....what were you doing almost 30 years ago? I was hacking in some of my first systems. Proof the SMD TM-1 Temperature Monitor and Fan controller is 26 years in the making. I was trying even way back in the 90's Original Sega. Like First Gen original.

  5. For example the b stock for $85 gives you 32sq ft and people have had good results with it 40sq ft of damplifier is $137 36sq ft of gtmat onyx is $130. for only $7 more you can get 4sq ft more with a good reputation and reviews from people right here on smd or for $45 less you can get 4sqft less but its still coming from a company that has been tested and reviewed several time by members right here on smd. I just feel like taking a risk on a company that the product doesn't feel like it us on par with its competitors isn't worth it when you can get what you know will work great and could be cheaper.
