  1. Good video sir! Everything was easy to understand. My favorite video from your youtube channel was probably: The phase angels and power factors were interesting.
  2. I forgot I still have my yellow top sitting on the charger in the garage and been meaning to add it to the trunk with the XP3000 but haven't had time to do it
  3. Retuning my DC5K (removing the Harrison SSF and using amp built in SSF). Should I use Linkwitz-Riley Borbutterworth for setting the Filter? Thoughts?

What frequency were you taking that reading at?

      CJ18

Yes it can make a difference. Also the -5 tone make s a difference vs the -10

      @SnowDrifter I was using the 40Hz @-5dB from SMD DD-1 cd.

My original tune settings was 40Hz @ 0dB for tuning which essentially was only feeding around 2000W when I played the -5dB tone to see what the difference were.

  4. Can someone link me the old meade "How to Set your Amp Gains - Mids and Highs (1 of 2)" Youtube video? Not the SMD one but the Oscope version. Thanks. I need it for a friend

  5. I am wondering also. If it does, I will get one for shits and giggles. I already have deadening in my trunk from the facebook giveaway
  6. Put my Ctek charger onto my battery backwards last night ~_~ Should be fine right? Ctek has "reverse polarity" protection?

I'll be going longer than that, but should be worth the wait.

  8. Can somebody send me the link to the youtube video of D'more showing us how he clamps an amplifier? It had a part where he was explaining Phase Angles and power factor that I'd like to review. Thanks

  9. I just watched through that entire video and was shocked at the prices for some of those computers
  10. I can't remember the exact model and specs of my first computer but I know it was an IBM and had those BIG floppy drives each one containing a cool game The other computer we had was running windows 1995 and I remember having a lot of fun ripping apart the left and right edges of the printer paper. What were those called? it had lil holes in them.
  11. Going to thread jack my own thread so I don't have to create a new thread. The box CJ18 built for me is tuned to 35hz. My old box was tuned to 30hz. Subsonic filter is currently set to 25hz. Should I set my subsonic filter to 30hz for the new box?
  12. I am doing some rewiring and was wondering if the positive at the amp is one big block and vice versa for the negative. In other words, does it matter where the positive from sub 1 and sub 2 plug into at the amp's positive inputs? Diagram 1 Diagram 2: Method 1 (my old method) - I have twisted the 2+ and 2- together and ran them into 1 speaker output. Method 2 (trying to do) - I will wire each sub in series on its own up to 2 ohms (diagram 2). I will then parallel them at the amp (diagram 2) BUT my question is, does it matter which positive input I plug it into at the amp? So looking at Diagram 2, would it be bad if the negative orange and negative blue wire switch places at the negative input of the DC5K amp?
  13. I am finally in the process of putting in the new box from CJ18 for my XLM2's :)

  14. what i gain with a paid membership i LOSE with the google ads so its really a wash on that. But i still bring in enough to take care of it. Also, Kyle is NOT cheap but he is worth it 1000x fold. He is basically a genius. So i don't mind spending it when i have to. Another way to reel in cash is to have companies pay you to have their third party cookies installed on your forum. Just fyi
  15. Firefox and Chrome automatically updates to the newest versions. I think you have Google Analytics installed on this forum right? You can view what kind of browsers people are using to visit your website in it
  16. Good. Because something was wrong there.... Best of luck. Have you posted pics of the Cody built enclosure yet? Id love to see it..... Im sure its dead bang, and top tier work, knowing the little i do about the man. Anyway best of luck.. I've uploaded the pictures here: http://www.stevemead...box-build-pics/ Edit: lol got Ninja'd by Cody ~_~ oh well.
  17. By the way, I removed the videos because the sub wiring wasn't correct and may have skewed the results =P I will do another clamp test at the end of season when in CJ18's box.
