The enclosure I made for my caddy is mostly made of fiberglass I had iirc 10-12 layers and it doesn't have a big curve to it but its strong. It handled a 18" BTL on a crunch gp 3000.1 daily. Check out the build on my sig

How long do you think you're gonna have it for and how reliable is it? If you're gonna keep it for a bit and it runs decent I say go for it. Ain't nothin' wrong with a hooptie. Just take the budget route if you deaden it cause that's the only thing you can't carry over into the next whip
