my advice is keep memphis... Ive used Memphis for years, great customer service, great products, I only never used them 4kw amps Those subs will play loudest around 34-38hz... with that much power Id reccomend 38-40hz, but then you have that big ass burb which wants lower freqs... Soooo ya know... trade in the 3-12s for 2-15s?

that one only showed 3.... but I hear the demand for CUSTOM cut rings, most people want doubled up, or flush cut rings, dont see those for sale.

I would assume, the plexi window should be a good 3/4", but once you add that BL, and depending on how much power, maybe up to 1" thick plexi, anything less will eventually leave, crack, or just change the freq you hear

I dunno, I havent dealt with TC, but how many people do you know with TC Sound 18s? not many, I know alot more people with FI, RE, Kicker 18s than TC sounds 18s Do you live in Alaska or somethin?

think of it this way too, you may have 4 15s with a wide bandwidth, say 20-60hz pretty flat, so it sounds loud all the way around, that guy with the 12 has a much NARROWER bandwidth, so his freq is compressed to that one note wonder. If you think of it as bandwidth, and compression of bandwidth its kinda like, "Oh, yeah, I see" If you tune that box right there at cabin tunning it will get loud, but if you double the octave, say go from 30hz to 60hz, the speaker cone is moveing twice as fast, and the resonance is more effective at the double cabin resonance, becasue the cabin is getting twice as much pressure going back and forth ( since the sound/pressure waves moves in waves, and bounce back and forth 60times a second, over 30 times a second- there is twice the air pressure) But again, sounds like ass

I think thats a nice amp, it looks like it has a parametric eq, am I right? of I had the money extra, Id buy it. Ad BTW Eclipse does make big amps, just not comp amps like RF, DD, RE status, but all eclipse amps Ive installed are relatively nice. Definitly this amp... But damnit, no $260 to spend right now

the only time I ever hear anything in that range of tuning sounding descent is in bandpass boxes. I was skepticle at first, but when I worked for that speaker company, my boss had me do a Kove 15" in a friends car. The car came with a 9" sub in the rear deck, so I went by his designs, and did a 6" pvc port tuned to 55-56hz Since it is bandpass, it peaks at 55, but played pretty flat to about 28ish hz out of car. In car, mic'd RTA'd it was extremly flat from 20-80hz, just clean sound, played good with ALL music, not just rap. That is when I learned about Transfer function- the difference between out of car response, and in car response. BUT a ported box, tuned at 55hz, yeah, sounds like ass, because there is phase issues between cone/port, but bandpass, it all relies on port, and pressure in the box. Yeah that guy was wrong, about the ported boxes tuned so high for daily customers, but bandpass, I would have agreed. my opinion on that

after reading this, I do notice how I like my gansta rap too... not much wording, and just nice hard beats, with a few hard shit to say... Ive heard like 2 Gucci Mayne or whatevr last year, I liked it. Only poetic rappers I like are Pac, Old scarface/ghetto boys hmmm... thats about it... wait is Scarface even poetic? more cone area, more efficient, less power to make louder. Yeah 4- 15s will get louder than 2 15s, but could be a problem, because at higher excursions, when all the cones are going the same directions, the pressure in that box with the 4- 15s will be very high, and you would need just enuff more power, to get those subs to compress all that air even more- basically, the subs will fight eachother in a common chamber box, but they will get louder anyways, with less watts. My opinion is for the DD9515

Wasnt Lanzar bought out by Pyramid? and ever since they have pyramid built amps?? I have the A3000DB, it works fine, minus fan noise, think I gotta change out the internal fan, but it definitly put out the power it says, if not some more

Yeah, I kinda learned this from the old speaker shop I worked at, to achieve a 24db oct with 2- 12db filters, they should be set 1octave off..... say 1 at 45hz, the other at 90hz... seems like 45hz and 45hz would work (example) but it doesnt- First filter inline should be set highest, closest to the woofer set lowest

They are crap, but I garuntee I can get 1- of them hitting about 10db higher with some descent amps, and good ole box building know how.... I cant find any of these Pimp my ride shows with any of them Jackshitters on them - I only watch that crappy show so I can see how they do thier install on them subs- 2 installs now and I missed both...

from all my studies, and experiments, port faceing the direction furthest away from mic location, or ears will gain the best spl, and subwoofer direction based on cars accoustics.... any Vet in the spl world would probably say the same thing about port direction.... Basically port direction needs to be furthest from the listener, or mic, because of standing waves which will be caused by reflections in sound, and when the soundwaves collide, there will be cancelation, which means loss in db
