  1. kenwood 138 FTW... beats anything u can find at that price
  2. or pop them with a battery... take the speaker wires out of your amp touch them to a battery (9v is normally good but drill battery, car battery, AA ect will work in a pinch) if they do something then they are at least some what ok. if nothing then thats the issue subs or connection after the amp (speaker wire outside the box, terminal cup, speaker wire inside the box)
  3. well since u smelt something its either subs or amp... subs can be blown without being seized (meaning they still move like normal) and amp can be blown without being in protect or still have the lights turn on like normal
  4. lol boon going crazy? I'm used to doing an install and when the owner comes to pick up the car i tell them inside ok it distorts at volume 30 don't turn it up past that... now lets go hear it and see what you think. I pop in the pass seat, they turn on the car and crank the volume all the way
  5. ya but sometimes it doesn't come out as easy as you'd like. trust me man ive done it before 2g isn't that much bigger then 4g so its probably going to be easier to strip the wire then cut a ring terminal... Most big gauge rings have decent size holes and there's only so much you can grind until your out of metal and running 2g wire to a ring terminal thats ground to the point the "spade" is to thin is sorta stupid

  7. lol that makes no sense. cutting rings works but often they are too wide to do the job. splitting the wires into a spade shape is retarded. What size wire are u runinng anyway? if its 2g just strip it down and use a 4g spade. heat shrink the connection and done
  8. 400 bucks for 2 T10001bd's bd sync for a single load or master slave 2 per amp. Hit me up
  9. lol ya i realized it when i woke up this morning... whoops hell ya its well worth it for me. i added 2 layers of overkill on the part under the opening where it was rubbing so hopefully it will be good to go. Like i said before the rear bumper was my only rattle. There are only 2 places on the exterior that aren't dampened yet. passenger fender (which i will hopefully get to soon) and the front bumper im hoping to be the quietest car at the second skin event on the 17th, maybe even hit a 150db while i'm at it
  10. So this is what you get when you combine Second Skins new top of the line vibration dampener and a lil bit of rattle from the rear bumper.... Just when you thought my car couldnt get heavier LOL ~8.5 sheets of SPL Plate adding ~2.5 sheets of damp pro The rattle would completely go away if the tabs holding the bumper on top are pressed hard as hell so i probably could have just put a strip of overkill and been fine but thats no fun, I do plan on doing the over kill too just in case but that will have to be tomorrow.
