  1. I don't think the box specs changed between the two. Sealed Box Dimensions: .3 - .35 cubic feet Ported Box Dimensions: .35 @ 35 HZ - .5 @ 35 HZ
  2. I have a buddy who used to have a ton of them...if I remember correctly its .5 cubes ported. Tune to whatever. But stay small on the port area, maybe 8sq in per cube. They like to get sloppy with any more.
  3. Welcome to the forum man.
  4. If you don't duct tape it right the coil will run nicely in the gap and eventually smoke.
  5. Yes thats what james is referring to. Larger motor doesn't mean smaller box...
  6. Not that simple...recones vary between coils used and size of the gap.
  7. Hell even the ssd's will take that 2500 just fine.
  8. Yes lower...tuning is also very vehicle and driver dependent. My box is tuned to 26...but I can still kill the 40's. My last few were tuned to 35, 32...but my subs seemed to lack in the low end dept. Threw this one in there and couldn't be happier.
  9. Tune lowwwwweerrrrrrr....stay smart with the gains. Keep your nose open.
  10. Had no problems running 1500 to each of mine...just have to be smart.
  11. Port location and how they load will affect how they move in relation to each other.
  12. Agreed....and just build yourself a better box
  13. Yup comment was directed towards the guys saying he wouldn't trust the sub with 4k.
  14. That amp puts out a hair over 3k at 12v at 1ohm...are you going to be able to hold a steady 12v? If not the rms is going to decrease by quite bit. And add box rise on top of that. You're sub will be fine...just keep an eye on it and know your limits.
  15. That sub is never going to see 4k off that amp. Even wired at .5
