No its the fact that he trimmed the cases down so they were easier to flush mount. Something no one has done yet to my knowledge. Ir its the molex plug and the way it lays into the piece he made without having tp fight with it. at least thats what I noticed from my perspective

Id bet you could get away with .5 but I wouldnt do it. Mainly because thats a waste of a sheet. I always use .75

Im not sure how it looks bad. Flushed in all the gauges. Worked with the body lines you had took the steps to make it look like it could have been factory. Throw in flawless body work and a professional color match and it gets the thumbs up here.
