and i need to see the backplate. I think there is something that is supposed to go around the magnets on that as well. I dont remember ever seeing one naked like that. could be wrong though. and looking at it it looks like a monster sub. to be honest. I could swear that an MA audio sub had that motor structure and that basket looks too nice for an audiobahn

why no eclipse?
n8ball2013 replied to Nic's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
eclipse has never had the mainstream following of the other brands. I have one in my basement that will go in my play truck when I get around to working on it. Another thing is some amps cant handle 8 volt input. Its rare not alot but some. -
they are ridiculous. The only reason you dont see or hear as much about them is because you see the msrp and the sticker price and go into shock,.

door panel idea

Say no to 6x9s. The ghetto beaters. There is a technical reason behind why they are not that great as well but I'm not getting into that. Its really not worth it to glass them into the door . Free or not. if you have them laying around sell them and get a component set. you will be grateful later. -
lol see. Im just the opposite. Screw desktop stuff. networking IIS load balancing thats my thing. Well it should be I get paid for it. Do this. go to run - type cmd and hit enter type ipconfig -all that will list your IP address. the addy for your computer is probably 192.168.1.xxx your ISP will have another IP. it will fall into the same subnet as your default gateway if your default gateway is 24.26.101.1 your ip should be something close to that. which IP changes. the 192 or the one similar to your default gateway. hell if you can post a screenshot of the full ipconfig I can work with that as well.

if you are behind a wireless router oyu can statically assign your own IP. Since its just you on that network set your Ip to something in the subnet and start your DHCP scope above that IP or assign one to the far end of your scope. One question . is it your IP on your computer or the IP assigned by your ISP?

i cant believe nobody mentioned akinyele. put it in your mouth .

where to get batteries
n8ball2013 replied to troy's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
i bought batts from remybattery.com before. I don;t remember what brands they carry but shipping was not too bad. -
This will only allow you to keep your IP in your local network. your isp will still assign you an IP. It is just stored on your router. However if your Ip lease expires due to inactivity this may fix that since it will always be connected and should always be active. NEWLS you may want to call customer service and inquire into their DHCP lease policies. If you can do that it can shed some light on things. I imagine there DHCP servers go nuts with that many lease renews.

I'm not too familiar with the way that DLS operates or the way that your ISP assigns IPs but you are not going to get a static ip. You receive your address through DHCP. What that does is gives them flexibility. If you had a static IP it would be assigned directly to you and they would have to monitor what IPS were assigned to what user . Very pain staking and a very high chance of an IP conflict happening. I've done this and for any large network its best to use DHCP. The only statically assigned IPs you will find are servers printers and networking gear. Having an IP lease that expires every two hrs is ridiculous though. Most times it will be 24 hrs . I'm not sure if your DSL disconnects after a period of inactivity. That may be something to look into. If you can keep your connection alive you may not have to login every time you visit the forum. However if your ISP has a DHCP lease of 2 hours there is nothing you can really do about it except complain.
