One way to figure this out is look at your fuses on your amps. add that up and see what it comes out too, then think about how much your heat, a/c, lights, etc use and add that to what your amps draw. Think your alt can keep it all charged?

This is why you don't make changes all at once! Check your sub wiring, your amp, etc. I'm not a guru, but if you go from 1 ohm and change impedance to .7, then your amp needs to be readjusted. Not sure, but it might be due to sending a distorted signal without the amp being adjusted with the impedance change. Other than that, unno.

.5 ohm depends on your amp, electrical etc. I would shoot for 2 ohm when you are looking for the amp. Hifonics makes a good amp at a good price.
