  1. Friend ate a 3 pound burger and beat the challenge, just a short video of it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3inq_qCJk0
  2. He's crazy haha more money than sense, he wanted to show how his old amps out perform new ones. Thanks for the reply!
  3. I have a quick question I'm not an electrical engineer or anything but I understand the DD-1 circuity is analog and turns on the detect light at 1% THD. I have a friend who is an audiophile nut and was wondering if anything could be changed in one in order to detect a lower THD than 1%, somewhere around 0.004%-0.5%?
  4. DC Power, Mechman, Singer Alternators can't go wrong with either of those 3. eBay ones are GENERALLY trash.
  5. Use XLD if you're on a Mac to rip the audio in lossless http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/23430/x-lossless-decoder
  6. I think you're on the right track sorta but without a serious 6th order designer helping you out it isn't going to work very well. Basically ported boxes are big, 4th orders are huge, 6th orders are almost the size of the original XBOX controller. You'd need a van or SUV walled off to fit a proper 6th order for 2 15"s.
  7. I run my LVL4 M1 12's with LVL5 soft parts on a DC 3.5k at 0.7 all day and they've been fine for almost a year on that...I wouldn't worry just back off the bass if it starts getting stinky.
  8. You'll need mono or to install a .NET framework version (mono is easier) because Torres uses the .NET framework http://mono-project.com/Main_Page
  9. Really depends on what type of gun your looking at getting or learning about, there are A LOT of gun specific forums (ex 1911, AR-15, AK-47, C&R), and some fit some people's taste some don't. Decent overview of most guns around here too, there's a few people around like N8, LT. Smoke, Hugh, CJ18 usually have something to say on most gun topics.
  10. I have a can of that and Ballistol for cleaning on most guns or oil on my Russian guns. On my handguns and American rifles I usually use Shooters Choice FP10 for oil.
  11. Good looking dog, I had a friend with one a while back and liked their personality a lot
  12. 7lbs isn't too bad considering the age of the components in the turbo.... The 14b isn't exactly a "high boost" turbo in the first place. I would definitely replace the lines coming from the turbo though if they seem old/worn down just so you don't develop a serious leak.
  13. Made a quick "parody" of the absolut greyhound commercial/Swedish House Mafia music video with a dachshund, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pwc9ViFDQY
  14. sigma are gay i hate the trigger pull too hard like 8 pounds trigger pull ^this x1,000,000! Hey there's a reason I personally didn't go buy one, I like my triggers light, but it was in his price range haha
  15. SIll be putting around 2200w on them together. If thats not too much. Go for a box smaller than DC recommends since you're going over rated, and make sure that power's clean with a DD-1 or scope and you should be fine
  16. Honestly if you want something good for a first gun that isn't a .22lr rifle and will actually be decent for home defense, and teach you how to handle a gun look at a used Glock 19 or 23, or head down to a range that rents guns and test out some guns in 9mm and .40 and see what feels best. I know the .22lr might look like a cool military rifle, but it isn't. If you want to go new and in that budget I'd say try out the Smith & Wesson Sigma 9 or 40, I personally don't own one but have fired about 100 rounds through a friends, and he's put over 1000 through it and it works great. Think of the ethics behind owning a gun too, I'm young and own guns but have also grown up in a home with guns, and understand the severity of situations when a gun is needed, when fists are needed, and when it's best to just walk away.
  17. lol Anyway to the OP you're gonna have to throw a lot more money at your build if you're wanting to run 4k... your amp budget might cover the cost of an alternator...
  18. Pretty much when it comes to bass, your radioshack one is no good for bass sadly, call around some car audio shops in your town, usually at least one will have a termlab and let you get a little time with it.
  19. I'd build a small wooden box to fit around the battery, bolt that down then use some threaded rod into the wood, either a piece of wood or scrap metal across the top, then some bolts on the threaded rod to hold it down
