Im not too familiar with sundown, and are you talking subs? amps? or both? both are great from them I checked out Sundown Audio, and I liked what I seen and they seem very worth the money, But I would be able to get a Crescendo 3kw, or I guess the new ones come out Dec 20th ish, The 3k thats out of stock is only $549, the Sundown 3500 I believe was %1500ish, not that Im saying it's not worth it, I just won't be able to afford that anytime soon. I know it costs to play but untill my disability checks start coming in Im on a super tight budget. I was very interested in the Nightshade subwoofer tho, are they as beast as they say? THe nightshades are more then beasts

I don't know who the distributor is for the uk, (i hope not bladeice ) but 8-12sq inch is more what i would reccomend for a good aeroport.(but 12-15 would be better) And about 14-20 sq inches per cu ft is what i would recommend for a normal slot port.

Just don't do it, it's not smart to use 2 different woofers.

Yes, it does depend. 8sq inch of port area per cu ft is too little for this subwoofer, do about 18sq inches per cu ft. With 5.5 cu ft that would be about 100sq inches of port area.

I agree, the rules aren't that hard reinforced on SMD, mods give enough warnings before banning. (and when they do it it's for a good reason)

16V means 16 valves. so 2 valves per cylinder nothing special. I don't get it why they even put 16 on it, 2 valves per cylinder is like a minimum, 4 per cylinder is more rare.

Barevids box is a screwup. He is trying to make a tapered tline,but fails. And a 18 inch sub tuned to 35 hz in a tline would be big.(bigger then a 6cu ft box.) The port doesn't need to get bigger the farther it goes on, if you start out building a tline i would just do the standard one, lookup the thread foreverbupin made. (under enclosures, it's pinned)

A 1200w amp can power 2 1000 watt subwoofers, but they wouldn't be powered to the maximum.(But no harm is done.)

Running a amp at 0.5 ohm is just stupid.(don't take the last word too serious) I know you get more power and blablabla. But it's not good for the amp or the woofers, even if you have no voltage drop. Impedance rise isn't gonna save the subs always, sometimes there is no rise at some freqeuncies and then is when the amp goes 'Poof'. EDIT: i hope NDMstang will join this thread..
