  1. i would set SS at 28. LFP at 80 is a good number to start with.
  2. if you tried every way to wire them, and still no sound is produced... it cant be the wiring can it?
  3. ummm.... WWAAAYYYYY more info needed. is the amp turning on? are the RCA's hooked up?
  4. i say "fucking bingo" to this. ill tell you what guys, the show out here in nebraska had a ton of beginners. in cali we would get... one or two? i dont know what that shop did different but they had full brackets of beginners. those people will be future competitors and profit for the shop. in fact, they had so many people at that show, qualifying didnt end until 4pm.
  5. i guess you didnt read his posts. you cant daisy chain all the amps when you strap them. he will still need to split the RCA 3 ways, as he has 3 sets of amps. i honestly dont know shit about the maxx-link. but i do know that i see a lot of people doing high numbers are using them. so i figure it cant be a bad product lol.
  6. tuning and box size seem to play the biggest role in imp rise. the woofer its self also effects rise.
  7. haha, ya that is true. but i still disagree that its not important for daily. lets say some one is running a sundown 1500 at 2ohm. the amp should do 800w but with 3x imp rise now it at 6ohm and its only doing 300w. well now you wire the amp to .5ohm, rise to 1.5ohm and you get about 1000w. now you have more than tripled your power for free. so even if you arnt burping, you now know that the amp isnt doing the power you thought and what you might have thought would be over powering would actually be giving correct power.
  8. 151.3? shit we are tied. i better get to work before you fly past me. lol. whats your goal with the new setup?
  9. you can do deeper and longer with Extenze
  10. i dont think we needed to know that.
  11. he doesnt want the stock speakers playing, just the sub. the stock HU would be turned off when he competes and only the sub will play off of the new HU. no need to run anything from the stock HU. dont even need a remote turn on because you will want to just unplug the new HU when you are not using it so the remote gets connected to a constant.
  12. we could have answered this in your other thread instead of making a new one... a HU is a HU. it needs power, ground, remote turn on, and a signal out. just hook it up the same as if you would on the dash. its the same shit.
  13. what? a pair of 12"s louder than me? i better get to work lol. i need to go find .4db.
  14. you dont need to go that far... just find the power and ground that is already going into the HU.
  15. ah, your only using the USB input arnt you? the usb controls the ipod and the 3.5mm jack is for audio and video. if you look at a normal 3.5mm plug it has 3 sections, ground, + for left channel, + for right channel. the one you need for this hu has 4 sections, the extra is for video. your ipod's 3.5mm output is only for audio so it only has the connections for the 3 section plug. you need to get the pioneer cable for this to work.
  16. dude... its very simple. the speaker wires on the LOC is the input. the purple and green wires are + and - wires that need to be connected to the HU's speaker outputs. the power and ground are obvious. then you need to hook up the remote wire to turn the thing on and off. if uses the rear speakers because no one wants to disconnect the front speakers for subs right? so you take away the rear speakers.
  17. all it needs is that cable. should work just fine. those cables from pioneer are shit though. the ebay knock offs are even worse. i found a 3.5mm to 3 rca cable (audio and video) then used an apple cable that has usb and the 3 rcas then connected the 2 together. its up to you if you want to spend the extra money of course. i had already had that apple cable.
  18. please send me system info lol. was this just two 12"s? how much power?
  19. the audiocontrols should keep good SQ.
  20. if thats an exercise then that sub just tore a ligament. ya, those triple joints need to be beefed up.
  21. he could have an 8v preout and an amp that only goes down to 5v. that would cause clipping with the gain all the way down.
