I'd say get the Dual 4 Ohm subs and wire them to 1 Ohm (All Voice Coils in Parallel). That amp will be perfect for those subs, they will be driven fully, and it seems like everyone I've seen get those have been very happy with their product. Make SURE you do the big 3 and get a good battery, to make sure your feeding the amp right! (No experience with the Mazda 3 Alt's but you might be good with stock) Glad we could help, happy bumping!

Yeah, your alternator is what creates the power, and it seems to me like at idle it's not making enough power but at a higher rpm it is. I'm not a guru when it comes to electrical, but take a look through this forum (Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring) and see if advice given there can apply to you. Some Alternator Companies that I've heard of are Mechman, DC Power Alts, and Singer Alts. Welcome to the forum!

For all the amps I've used the Left Pos is the Pos and the Right Neg is the Neg. When bridged you only use Two of the Four connectors. If you still have the amps manual check it to make sure, and then run two sets of wires using the same terminals on the amp.
