sorry its a 2000 chevy tahoe cant remember off top of my head if that is the year with the driver and pasenger door pinswitches sticking out of the side of the dash where the door touches when closed. I have seen many of those switches fail, not the way you are talking, but possible. See if your domelight turns off and on with driver and passenger doorswitch being pushed in and out.

Headlights still dimming...

when did you ever think bass boost has anything to do with this man... cause just like i told him i used to have the same issue and it was my bass boost thats the dumbest thing i've heard of .. bass boost too high = dimming lights... i don't think so, dimming lights has everything to do within the electrical system is he saying that the bass boost was the cause, or it just got worse when he turned it up. Why wouldnt that be possible. Electrical problem already present, gets worse(or noticeable) when boost is up? -
but when it clips it is a DC signal, right?

i would sneak a shit load of soap into the bathroom. Stop all the toilets up. Pour soap in the tank and bowl of all the toilets. Then I would flush them all and leave. just my 2 cents. -
Since the post above mine mentioned state parks, wouldnt it be some shit if the US started drilling for oil near Yellowstone? I keep hearing on the news that Yellowstone is a supervolcano. They claim if it ever blows, it would be like nothing we have ever seen. What if the oil drilling sped up the process? I assume the leaders in the US would prefer any earthquakes to stay in the middle east. Maybe I have been watching too much SyFy channel.

looks like something I found growing in the top of an old cup of coffee. MMmm good. -
bought a 2-12 RT vented sub box. I have a 95 civic and saw no need for a gigantic vented box. Thought i would try this one. 1.5 cubic feet after sub displacement. separate chambers, but a common vent. Vent looks to be about 12 high x 1.5 wide x 24 long. Vent starts near the front side of box right beside woofer, goes back about 12 inches, then turns 180 degrees towards the front. Put a pair of HCCA 12s in it. I know someone is gonna say that box wont hold the weight, but we will see. IT has dado cuts so I doubt any panels will be braking loose. Running 2600 watts rms(havent clamped it yet). Box tuned around 48 hz, but plays well down to 30 hz. I listen to mostly metal and rock, so I dont see a need for low tuning. It beats pretty good. For 100 bucks shipped, I have no complaints. I am sure some prefab haters will have something negative to say on it. But I am happy with it, and that is what counts right?

or much simpler would be to check all the fuses first and possibly save yourself a headache, assuming that you haven't donethat yet. -

i kept getting brushed off by local shops in my town back in 1999. Manager said if I couldnt do a remote start alarm, then they didn't need me. Went to Mobile Dynamics in Phoenix. Good experience. Didn't learn a huge amount, but enough to get my foot in the door and get basic MECP certification, which led to getting a job. Not a high paying job, but it is a job. I love what I do. Something the school didn't warn us about is that every kid who walks in the door "knows how to hook stuff up." and aren't gonna pay a shop to do something they claim they can do themselves. But, it is always nice when those same kids come back for troubleshooting on their installs. -

we charge $25 troubleshooting. I like it when they buy some bullcrap somewhere else, then it doesn't sound good. I tell them that if they had taken the time to come talk with me, I would have given them advice on what to get, even if they didn't purchase it from us. Theyn I politely tell them it is a lesson learned.
