What's the best place to have shocks done.. Firestone quoted me a 1000 and I said hmmmm no.... Looking past at most around 700

It's pretty hard to fuck up honestly. I've done it a few handfuls of times and have yet to fuck up. It's pretty much get your new ones, take off the current ones, put the new ones on in the order you took the originals off. Torque to spec and you're done.

shocks are easy(depending on the car/turck)... Struts are a little different and require special tools

i just bought completed struts for my car, mechanic want $300 to install them. said fuck that did it myself and has been sturdy since.
