BS, no need to pay that retarded ass price unless you have OnStar but obviously you don't. Scosche has a GM09SR that has a chime module, costs about $50 from SonicElectronix. You can even adjust the volume of the chime if need be....there's 3 settings, low, medium and high. It won't damage the head unit but some have had issues with the class II databus system with the factory deck take out, myself included. So what I did was bought a BestKits relocation harness for $45 and relocated the factory deck to my glove box, wired my aftermarket deck to that harness and installed it in the factory location. No more databus problems for me! I have an aftermarket deck and have chime.....well, used to, but since I bought the relocation harness I didn't need the GM09SR anymore.

It looks like the problem is that your amp, when in bridged mode (2ch operation), it's only stable to 4 ohms bridged. Since your subs are dvc 4 ohm subs, each sub is wired to 2 ohms. That's why it's getting so hot for sure, surprised it hasn't gone into protect actually. And your gain should be reset when you change impedance like that....but that's a non-issue since your amp isn't stable to run 2 ohms per channel when bridged anyway.

I just got tinted up this past weekend, 20% on the back 3 and 30% on the front 2 I don't have problems seeing out of it at night My girl just got tinted up tonight, she got 10% on the back 5 and 30% on the front 2......can't see too good out of the back windows at night. Her car was in our driveway, there is a speed limit sign in front of our yard (about 30ft. from the driveway) and I couldn't read the sign through the back windows from that distance. I just went out and moved her car from the street to the driveway and if I didn't already know our neighbor had his garbage can out (directly behind her car) I probably would have hit it or came close cause I couldn't see it for shit as I was backing up. We're both getting 50% on the windshield this weekend

I didn't like Decaf music until I got my current setup installed......never had anything that could hit the lows like what I have now. Decaf helped me fine tune the specs of my box and it bangs the lows, imagine that! Now I love me some Decaf music!
