How do i add another battery?
ALPINE408 replied to Danny Ruiz's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Never seen an alt not be able to power some batts? Care to elaborate on this? I have had 6 batts on a 60 amp stock alt worked just fine just takes longer to charge them -
I would put db drive amps n the same boat as audiopipe cheap drity power

You can tune a prefab and build it to spec for the subs prefabs suck even sealed ones one size does not fit all for subs -

Play with build the sealed box like you want but I would hang on to the ported one something tells me after a day or 2 you will reinstall the ported box -
Arc audio has some nice entry lvl componets

What are you looking for? To sound good but not loud sealed for output ported Sealed can go low its all in the tunning how do you tune a sealed box you may ask by its size For the most part you get way more output from a ported box but does not sound as well or controlled as a sealed box for the most part -
Big 3 Wire brand suggestions
ALPINE408 replied to Mikey Bates's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
It's actually power if you think about it. Current and a given Voltage = Power. Current with no volts = no power. Lol well 1 tiny strand can delivery the same 12 volts the 1/0 can now put current threw them wich one delivers? You can try to argue with me all you want but let's speed this up you lose -

Isn't each strand coated with aluminum though...? And I would say if you never plan on running more than 3500W or so, just get the CCA. Not all I have some nice green ofc over here that's 3. Years old And I have ran 40,000+ watts with cca :wow: -
Big 3 Wire brand suggestions
ALPINE408 replied to Mikey Bates's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
If your doing long runs you will want to double up the runs see what's more cost efficitive 2 runs of cca or 1 run of ofc the decide but the 2 runs off cca will out preform the 1 run of ofc 1 vs 1 ofc win -
Big 3 Wire brand suggestions
ALPINE408 replied to Mikey Bates's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
knowing what i know about metals and such i think there's some truth to this , aluminum oxide protects against corrosion so aluminum don't corrode very much below the surface . still like copper . Lol of course there is truth to it I don't talk out my ass on the internet and will have test or research backing any of my advice wish everyone did this -
Big 3 Wire brand suggestions
ALPINE408 replied to Mikey Bates's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
It all comes down to how much current the wire can handle over how much distance and what your system will draw. To each their own I say, as long as the end result is wire that will handle the load and deliver the power it needs to. Me, I'm lazy. Rather have 1 or 2 runs of OFC than 4+ runs of CCA to deliver the same power. Well your wrong there 4 runs of cca will out perform 2 runs of ofc and its not delivering power its delivering current -

And in a few years you sooooo good ofc will oxydize and turn green losing all that extra current handling you guys are hung up on where cca crap as its called wont -
Big 3 Wire brand suggestions
ALPINE408 replied to Mikey Bates's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Funny I know of a couple 160+ cars useing only CCA wire but I see 1 million and 1 little 140db guys swear cca is so bad Yes the 160 guys have more wire to make up for the cca current draw backs still a shit ton cheaper when you have to run that much wire -

ALPINE408 replied to Mikey Bates's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Your gonna get the guys that say only ofc but big 3 is short runs the cca is just fine for that you can almost run double the rated current in wire in short runs Also the whole OFC thing is a crock of shit there is no such thing as oxygen free copper was it manufacured in a vacume sealed room? No and if it was once you cut into it its not oxygen free anymore now is it Should be just copper wire -
El oh fucking el 1 no vs. Threads 2 hahahahaha on the 2 subs choice to do a vs. Thread night and day differnce in power handling and parts

He look a bigger asshole than me vopa -
Because there busy almost all vendors/manufactures would want you to buy at the dealer level so the dealer can handle your questions And for purchasing let's say you had 200 e mails in one day asking questions but there was 1 from me waving 500 bucks to buy something Now you tell me what e mail you gonna handle 1st?
