    12 is about the 'regular' where you wanna tune it. as far as frequencies, the size of the port determines what the box is tuned too. typically, the longer the port, the lower it's tuned. i have mine setup for 33-34 hz for daily driving and i love it. most people i have seen around here tune low to mid 30's also. there was a thread on amp tuning and they talked about slope, but i dont have time to search for the thread

    yeah. craigslist seems so uneasy to me. only way i'd ever sell anything or buy anything is if they meet in person and do cash right there. always ways around sending mail/electronic payments. sure it's not ALL a scam, lots of good deals and stuff, but i feel safer with ebay

    yes certified is much safer. the thing that concerns me is the grammar in that e-mail. and there's always a reason they cant meet in person. if it were me...i'd be VEERRRY skeptical of this one

    big negative imo on the prefab box for the FI. if you're gonna go the length to get a good sub like that, i'd just as soon get a complete kit (subs/amp/wiring) altogether. then when you get a new car, you can upgrade. as for the job...HELL YEAH that is sweet as hell. 33k is nice! especially startin out. you could try the lower line FI subs and build a sealed box, if you're tryin to stay away from ported ones also

    that's a gamble right there downsizing to twelves. sure...you can put more than twice the power to them a piece, but you lose cone area. enough to matter with the power gain? not sure. my guess is that it would be a little louder at LEAST. given that you build a proper box for them

    i do have kinda a quick question. my amp has bass boost and gain...what's the difference in setting the two for output voltage?

    on some motherboards, isnt there a switch you can hit or a button that will restore things to default settings? i may be wrong...someone correct me if i am.

    yeah there's a lot of variables that come into play when comparing certain setups. doing a wall is one of the loudest ways to gain SPL
