If I purposely want to blow a sub by wiring to a strong amp, do I risk damaging the amp when the sub pops.

Sounding familiar Real? I see a trend of certain amps protection circuit not working. Now do these companies get their supply from the same place?

I don't get why you guys are secretive about these companies. Spill the beans.
The subs I have are 200 rms and I will be giving them 350-400, so not terribly overpowering.
DC 1.2k, not Sundown.

In my time playing with all this stuff over the years, I have blown so many speakers, I would guess in the area of around 40 or so, never once did it cause an amp problem. I used to purposely smoke speakers because i'd be ready to go buy some different ones, and that was on amps in the upper 1990's, amps that were not build anything at the caliber of the ones out today. I would be to worried.
