To figure out cone area... To figure out 1 15, take half of 15 which is 7.5. Multiply 7.5 together, then multiply it by Pi, (7.5x7.5 x 3.14) = 176.625, then multiply the final number by how many subs will be used. 2 15's = 353.25in^2 1 21 = 346.18in^2

You did the math? Or rule by thump? I just did the math, he is correct. It's not a HUGE difference, but 2 15s does have more.

If he tuned the amp according to the H/U, the preouts wouldn't cause the clipping since he compensated for it. If that is what you are going at.

There are a lot of variables for which can be causing the clipping to happen. Could be gains set to high on the amp, settings jacked up on the H/U, voltage dropping too low, just to name a few off of the top of my head. I tuned my AQ1200D with a DMM, and I don't run into problems. Some songs are louder than others, so I have to turn a few settings down on my H/U so the clipping light goes off. A lot of the songs that I play a decent amount at full tilt I have the H/U settings memorized, so I just turn them down/up right before I put the song on, works perfectly fine for me.

xXRaMpOwNaGeXx, calm down bro. No reason to go all crazy like that, just take a breathe and relax. He is right though, you cannot fully "take out" clipping. You CAN do things to "help" against clipping, like you did. But, the fact is, it is still clipping.

The coils aren't actually separate, it's all one. Dual coils just disperse the power quicker over the area. You can run just one side of the coil and leave the other side untouched and you won't have a problem. It won't be as loud, but you won't run into problems.

I live about 15 miles from Mineral, it wasn't anything crazy, just a lot of shaking. Freaked me out at first, first earthquake in my life, fun experience since nothing was damaged at my house, and nobody got too badly hurt around here.

And if you don't like ROMs you can download an app called "Bloat Freezer", freezes whatever blur you want, as long as your rooted. Don't know if the Atrix is supported by it though.

EQ on my iPod is off. Normally I have the iPod volume all the way up and just control with the H/U. When I am driving around places I know I will turn it up/down a decent amount, I will control the volume with my iPod.
