  1. 8 guage is ok for 1kw probably. You might have hooked them up in series or something, or maybe you didnt tighten the wire onto the cap post well enough which caused a lot of resistance, no idea without some pictures and stuff really.
  2. If jr.com was canadian i'd buy 8 of them right now...
  3. got a Punch 200x2 going in my truck to run my 4 10's soon.. lol.
  4. pull out the seats, build a box to replace them and put padding on the box so it is the seats
  5. whats broken? Someone I know had a sub with broken posts (probably from shipping) and last I heard Fi offered to send him new posts or repair it for him (but shipping would suck).
  6. solder type plays a huge role as well. Many "new" solder types are lead free and this causes poor joints which crack easily.
  7. Bought a DD Z1, shipping and communication were fast and painless! :drink40: Would buy from again
  8. put some in a t-line for a good time
  9. hit a deer with my truck. FUCK THAT. also, sorry for running your sister over, fizzy, but her fat ass punched my door in 6" and her head is glowing thanks to my missing headlight...
  10. 300-350w computer psu is like $30 on newegg.com can get a 1500w Delta psu from google store for ~$90
  11. pawn shops usually have better subs for cheaper than walfart I did love beating on the old Jensen XS line from walfart though lol. When the cone changes color turn it down!
  12. that super flexible house silicone stuff works great.
  13. There is no theory. The kit if fixing a problem from the OEM, at best.
  14. $150 would get a very nice PSU probably. Can get a 1500w Delta PSU off google store for $85 iirc. Delta is one of the main manufacturers that everybody else uses then badges as their own.
  15. buy 2 more explodes, run 6 JL might have cracked solder on the RCA terminals..
  16. whats "cheap" ? If they're cheap you could make a giant home theater t-line That said i'd take the 4 L7's over the 2 solo-x's for daily. Build a bandpass type enclosure with the subs angled (not quite facing each other) and a port in the center back.
  17. There you go, the grounding system provided by OEM's is typically shit. Straight from the CA&E link.
  18. wtf? Big 3 (I do 4) is all you need. Battery to frame (ground). Engine to frame (ground). Engine to battery (ground, extra insurance if frame contact is or becomes poor). Battery to alternator (power). Firewall, struts, throttle body, head, exhaust, alternator, and distributor are all grounded well already being as they are all bolted to each other or the frame quite firmly (i'd hope they are at least).
  19. I thought they made the wheels for the spider bike in house? either way its mostly "just another chopper" from what i can tell. Not many people making bikes these days break the mould
  20. I only made it to 1:10 on the laugh video.. that guy at 2:xx sounded like he was dieing lol.
  21. epoxy or some of that "steel" glue. test the steel glue out first on something though as i've had bad batches of the stuff that never gets hard. likely that UPS dropped it.
  22. you could put the magnet back on, but lining it up might be a bitch.... how did it come off in the first place?
  23. i've never broken one with an impact driver.
