  1. Pain pills+alcohol+tub full of warm water = Death Sad way to go though.
  2. Pioneer DEH P8300UB is a nice unit for the price and has 4v pre-outs, but if you can wait i would hold out for the new pioneer DEH-80PRS. http://www.pioneerel...ivers/DEH-80PRS
  3. Pull the assembly out and file down the housing that faces the window some and re-install it and see if it still makes noise, repeat once more if you don't remove enough the first time. EDIT: I would not recommend removing it in case your required by law to have a 3rd brake light.
  4. Research is your best friend when it comes to speakers but take everything you read with a grain of salt cause the learning curve for SQ can be quite long and frustrating and rewarding, you just have to try many different speakers, crossover points and placement of speakers to achieve your goal. Amplifies will have a greater tonal sound than speakers will along with headroom and dynamics so your choice in amplifies is a much bigger factor than your choices in speakers, SQ is about the sum of the whole and not one piece of the puzzle. EDIT: From my research into woofers and mids you might want to check into the peerless HDS series of speakers.
  5. Unless you know your makes and models flipping cars can be risky if you buy the wrong ones, something like a stang will always sell even if it has a 4 banger in it so i might hop on something like that but something along the lines of buicks, saturns and oldsmobiles i'd stay away from since they tend to be older folks cars no one wants.
  6. Not quite sure on why the active posts count and your posting numbers is different but something N8 will have to look into, regardless of post count your missing the SMD site on your paper so you may want to get that updated.
  7. Way too much going on with too little power to run them with. Sometimes less is more, i would use a really good set of comps up front with around 125w x 2 or 150w x 2 to power them with. With so many speakers and different sizes you can run into cancellation issues or overlap in certain areas where you can't correct it with eq's or any other means.
  8. Any sub vendor here on the site along with hundreds of others, these just turn into flaming threads so don't be surprised if it gets locked.
  9. Air bags will probably be the easiest and safest way to cope with all the added weight. I would also use energy suspension or prothane bushing's in back to help tighten it as much as possible.
  10. You might need to do full coverage on the doors to help with midbass but no need to do the whole car 100%, it really depends on your power level and amount of flex you need to get under control.
  11. For divx codec just download Divx and when you go to install it just install the codec and not the program if you have no use in using it, you can also go to microsoft and download the codec pack.
  12. Awesome stuff right there, some of the other videos of them are incredible.
  13. I'm getting 27.63 with your dimensions in torres calc. If you were to open the port to 8" wide instead of 6" you'll get 180" and a tuning of 32hz and net vol. of 12.66cf or go to 9" and a port area of 202.5" and tuning of 34hz and net vol. of 12.20cf. EDIT: Port length would remain the same.
  14. I would get a good high power variable speed plunge router with 1/4" and 1/2" collet's.
  15. As was stated try checking your ground, if you can try another H/U i would try one for a few days if you have one available and also check for pinched rca patch cords
  16. Hope you got that spam button ready cause 143040 will keep you busy.
  17. Might have a thermal switch not working properly and need to have it replaced , at least take it in and have it looked cause as long as the amp works perfectly fine it shouldn't be much to fix what is wrong with it.
  18. only way to know if it is a remote issue would be to remove it first and make sure the amp is powering down or not before pulling and taking it in.
  19. A possibility is a stray power wire touching the remote and keeping it powered.
  20. Your using the remote wire to power the fans or are you using it to switch a relay with?
  21. You may have inadvertently wired to a non-switching 12v power supply, just find a switched wire you can use so they turn on and off with the key in the ignition.
