it is louder when playing (0db that is). it's why your gain would be set lower on -10db.
the lower db settings are simulating musical averages. 0db is the loudest recording setting. All the way up. However we all listen to music and know that not everything is recorded at that volume. Sometimes its recorded lower, the lower db settings on the CD are guesses to what that average will be.
Yup, after I wrote that I thought that was maybe what you were saying, hence the edit. I have ran on 2s 20C batteries the whole time, of course it's in a short course truck converted to a concrete warrior.
I thought it was the number of cells that increased speed? Like 2s, 3s, 4s, and so on and the C was how quickly it can get to top speed. Either way, these cars are a fucking blast.Or fuck, maybe that is what you are saying...
Hook the amp up first with only power wired connected. If no protect then try with RCAs. If no protect then add a single speaker, not using the box and terminals, just wired directly. If it's ok, then test each sub independently.
Got mine installed. It's a lot of overkill, especially considering my battery is an XS D6500, and under 2k watts total. However, voltage drop seems to be very minimal, if any. I'm ok with that!
