Hmm...the only thing I'd get confused with is how far the coil goes down into the gap. I guess you could take some measurements from the soft parts of one of the blown woofers...like checking the length from the bottom of the cone to the very end of the former. Other than that though, standard recone business EDIT: Forgot to address the spider...once you know how much of the former should stick out the back of the cone, drop a spider in, let the cone/surround/former assembly rest in the basket and mark a line on the former where the spider needs to be epoxied? Ahh Forevrbumpn needs to get in here lol

I don't recommend the Caliber, at least versus those other cars. It's not as sporty, if that's what you're looking for, and the only one I've driven was filled with brittle interior plastics...dunno if Dodge has switched it up or not since then.

'Arsenal' is JVC's premium line- think Kenwood Excelon or Pioneer Premier. It's definitely a solid radio- the quality coming from a USB-connected iPod is amazing, and the internal amp isn't bad at all. One thing I like about it over some other radios is that it actually charges the iPod when it's plugged in- overall I'm very happy with it.

I've got a JVC Arsenal KD-AHD69...about $150 depending where you buy it. 5 volt pre-outs, though only 2 sets of them, USB interface w/iPod control, a really slick Burr Brown DAC (look it up), and a tri-color LED faceplate that lets it match any color scheme.

So I was walking around South Oakland (just outside downtown Pittsburgh) with four of my friends at about 10:15 tonight, and you know how sometimes when you hear a car coming down the street you just turn to look? Kind of instinctively, kind of to check out what kind of car it is. Well, this time, I turned to see a white 90s Celebrity in the process of crossing the double yellow toward us, doing 35-40. I kinda froze, and watched is it proceeded maybe 20 more feet in the oncoming lane, then smack into a parked VW Beetle. I've seen accidents before, and I know many of you have, but it was LOUD! After hitting the Beetle, the Celebrity rolled backward across two lanes (we were on a slight hill) and into a stone wall on the other side. Two of my friends managed to wake the driver up and talk to him while I called 911. The driver had a nice gash on his forehead from the lack of airbags and not wearing a seatbelt, and he definitely smelled like liquor....paramedics came, and he went to the hospital. My favorite part of the evening was an EMT telling the guy "Put that damn cigarette out, you got all kinds of fluids coming from your damn car!" Moral of the story is DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE, and WEAR A ********** SEATBELT! I kinda think it's a wise idea to go the electric route, especially nowadays like the OP said. With any nitro, you'll be buying fuel, glow plugs, batteries for the glow plug lighter, air filters, etc. It ain't cheap, which is why I'm trying so hard to get rid of mine. Treated correctly, a brushless system should require a heck of a lot less maintenance. I'll say it again- I'm a fan of Revos. The two vids posted show it can take a beating pretty well, like its larger sibling. However...2wd is more fun if you wanna be able to step the rear end out and slide the truck around (even) more...

Yeah, I'm looking to get out of nitro and into electric. And I would imagine that little Revo would want to wheelie if you womp on it from a standstill, but that's what wheelie bars are for XD Though really, I think anything RTR and brushless would be a pretty sweet deal. Traxxas seems to make stuff that's pretty easy to get going.

No Nitro? Shame...I have an HPI Savage 25 gathering dust. Anyway, the 1/16 Revo looks intriguing. I know from experience that any fullsize Revo is badass, so the scaled one shouldn't disappoint. 4x4 will have advantages over the 4x2 trucks for sure.

I play some....it's HIGHLY addicting. I like the fact that you can make and do literally anything...total sandbox to do anything you want in.

It's not that I'm looking for well-mastered rap, I was just making comparison between new and old. Rap albums didn't always sound like shit. It's good to hear though that there are some newer albums that haven't fallen victim to the evils of digital recording.

I've been listening to a lot of Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and Snoop's Doggystyle lately. Both albums have their respective strong points, but that's not what this thread is about. What I wanna know is, what the hell happened to good mastering? I've listened to both albums all the way through (couple times each) with some Sennheiser HD 212 Pro headphones, which are at least respectable. I've found that Kanye's album (Nov. 2010 I believe) is FULL of hisses, distorted bass, background loops being too loud for the vocals, and general amateur crap. Doggystyle (1993?) sounds way the hell better. Way cleaner, no obvious gaps in vocals (yes, it happens on Dark Twisted Fantasy) and just a crisp sound. Did the move from analog recording to digital really screw things over that much? /rant

I feel your pain man. I currently live in PA, but come from Buffalo. We get crazy amounts of snow a lot of the time.

It's such a matter of opinion...isn't making a thread like this kinda risky? I've been thinking that Sony is kinda garbage- they're no longer the quality brand they once were. Dual, Boss, Visonik, Roadmaster, Audiobahn, Pyle, Pyramid...stay far away. Best stuff? I've had good experiences with JVC (Aresenal), Kicker, T3 and Infinity. More to come
