    Did your harness look like This? i really dont have a for sure answer, maybe even though you have already, go back and check everything again. i dont understand why it wouldnt work its not like those cars take a special harness its just a basic harness. Edit: maybe try the red and yellow wires together sometimes that works but i doubt it would make a difference since the car is newer and not old.

    no it would not hurt generally remote wire is smaller than that.

    it would leave ur amp on constantly, thats like looping ur remote wire to ur power input on ur amp u'd be constantly unplugging it to shut it off. Or you would have to put a switch in between to shut it off but yes you could do it.

    get an Enduro, like a 250, its street legal and you should be able to handle it pretty well. Also those bikes make it easy to go get ur motorcycle license.

    Actually Sound Deadner isnt that hard to do and taking panels off on newer cars is generally pretty easy (at least in my ride lol) most new ones are just clipped in so at the most u'd need a panel popper, screwdrivers, and some sockets, if you wanted to go all out and deaden the whole car. EDIT: look at Second Skin for Sound Deadner, less than dynamat and better IMO

    1 18in sub in that thing would pound, anything from a FI BTL, AA Mayhem, DC lvl 4xl or lvl 5 to name a few. if a 18 would not work im sure 2 12's would, same subs mentioned above, with a nice amp.

    Also if you dont have at least a extra battery there is no point in putting over 1500 watts on stock electrical. Your just gonna end up screwing up the car big time, ie. your car will start getting dimming headlights, ur amps gonna be inefficent and if you let it go to long ur cars gonna start acting all wierd and start misfiring cause it doesnt spark right. Then you have to change ur plugs. I say work on ur electrical first then get an amp.

    I'm currently running a set in my car and i like them. The price you can get them for on ebay its a hard deal to pass up, they will take the rms and not look back. in my old vehicle i ran the 5 1/4 R' and the 6x9s and it was loud as all hell. Overall a good speaker for a good price.

    Basicly what everyone else is saying... batts, alt, a good box builder, a good amp, some sound deadner to help cut down on some rattle, and finally time and patience.

    I wouldnt worry about the 12.4, by chance do you know how long it has been sitting? I've had my Stinger sp1500d's out for 2 months and one reads 12.89 and the other 12.86, im sure once you hook it up it will get a charge and go up a couple tenths.
