Is My S1200 Dead?

That battery shouldn't have been that low if there isn't something going on in the electrical system. -

12.1 at resting is dead. I would check your entire electrical system for sure. What size system do you have in this vehicle? -
If the batteries were not charged fully prior to the testing, then you will not get an accurate test. Batteries should be fully charged and then allowed to sit for about 12 hours prior to the load test. Do you ever put a charger on your batteries to top them off? If you purchased the D3100s from an authorized dealer and they are within 3 years of purchase, then you would still have warranty coverage. Either way if you want to send them in for testing just give the office a call. 888.497.7693 and they can get you a Return Authorization to send them to us. Also post up the serial number on the side of the batteries.

You can't change it. Just give the office a call and get a authorization # to send it back to get it checked out. -

Your absorption mode may be set on the lower side of acceptable. Leave the batteries hooked up to the charger overnight and see what they do. Check the voltage at the end of 24hrs and then take the batteries off of the charger and check the voltage again after about 12hrs. If it is still low call in to get Return Authorization and we will check it out. -

No that would be fine. Just put it on the AGM setting. -

Probably be a good idea to check with the site sponsor Sonic Electronix. -
That tender is not going to do the job for you. You need a charger with at least 15amps of charge current. Hook that battery up to another 12V battery and charge it up. Then let it sit for around 24hrs and see what the voltage does. Probably will want to put it trough a few cycles to see if you can break up some of the sulfation.

Did you check the voltage on the battery before you completed the load test? You have to have a fully charged battery to do a load test. If the battery was drained completely when you put it on the charger, then in all actuality the charger probably never charged the battery fully. Most AGM chargers have a saftey built into them, that if they do not see a certain voltage from the battery then they will not put out a charge voltage. If the battery was sitting below 10V the charger may have never even charged the battery. If this is the case you can hook it up to another 12V battery pos to pos and neg to neg and let the charger charge both batteries. This will turn the charger on and the charge current will go into the drained battery. It is not a good idea to leave a battery for months without a charge. Doesn't matter what battery it is it will hurt the battery. A battery tender or battery tender plus is a great investment especially if the battery is in an application that doesn't get driven for months. I would also suggest looking to see if you have a draw on your car. -

Test it out with your installation. What works for someone else may not work for you. Car audio is about testing and seeing what works for you.
