ch0sen replied to speedball1978's topic in SMD Distortion Detector (DD-1) Topics
i've ordered things from newegg that say they never moved and then show up at more door step, usps is the worst though, i don't know why they even bother with tracking numbers, they never update them -
dd-1 shipping issues?
ch0sen replied to speedball1978's topic in SMD Distortion Detector (DD-1) Topics
just bc its not updated doesn't mean its running late, they'll push back the estimated delivery date if something happens -
Need amp that will push 2 CVRs, 3 later down the road.

oh sorry man, i thought 3 more than the 2 you have, i'm just stupid, but you can find an audiopipe 1500d on ebay for 148 free shipping with a free 300a fuse holder, i will say that mine blew up on me, but you may have better luck than me -

You won't be able to find an amp that will push 5 cvrs for under 130, 5 of those woofers will handle 2000 watts @ 1.6 ohms, you best bet is to get an amp to push 2 then later down the road find another amp to push 2 more -

I used to haven an 01 chevy 4 door tracker, it was awesome, i could go in places 4 wheel drives where afraid of and mine was only a 2 wheel drive lawl, and also, i had 4 12 inch audiobahns in the back of that thing and it was pretty loud for 800 watts, man i wish i still had it, i was foolish back then, i shoulda had the since to do what your doing with it, can't wait to see some more pics

Since amps drop effeincy when you drop ohm loads it should be that your single amp at .5 would draw the exact same current as your 2 at 1 ohm, but we all know this isn't a perfect world, i would say that your 2 amps at 1 ohm will be louder and safer and more efficient. IMO that is

I would wait around for your other amps instead of getting the massive audio amp, that dc 2k or the crescendo will do you much more justice, and a class D amp doesn't stand for a class digital amp Class D amplifiers use output transistors as switches to control power distribution — the transistors rapidly switch on and off at least twice during every signal cycle. Class D amps boast higher efficiency, produce less heat, and draw less current than traditional Class AB designs. Class D amplifiers produce higher distortion than AB designs due to the high-speed switching on and off of the transistors, but this distortion occurs at high frequencies that are typically removed by a low-pass filter. copied and pasted for the interwebs

cut through man, you won't be disappointed -
I work at a construction company with our own lumber yard, (we sale wholesale) and there are quite a few types of hardwoods like birch to use, birch is one of the best, but any hardwood is almost as hard and light, just stay away from pine and you should be fine, now i don't know alot about sound quality with different types of woods, but you can usually get combi packs at most lumber yards for pretty cheap, combi packs mix birch, whiteoak and poplar, and poplar is by far the weekest, almost like pine, so less poplar means stronger wood. http://www.hardwoodinfo.com/species_guide/pdf/Strength%20and%20Mechanical%20Properties.pdf if you really wanna learn more sticking to birch or whiteoak if you don't want mdf is the safest bet though keep in mind the most lumber yards only keep birch, white oak and poplar in stock, sometimes red oak and other specialty's, btw, i love the red oak box jmilch
