  1. You don't want "compact" cable cutters. There are no tight spaces to be concerned with. They just take away from the leverage you will like. Find something similar to that, but bigger.
  2. SA10s ONLY work well in a 4th order IF AND ONLY IF you use 48 of them.
  3. Stop making threads. There is offical CL fail thread. Just bump that.
  4. We need so much more info than that dude...
  5. Cool story bro? Where in PA are you?
  6. I just wanted to clear it up. Saying "voltage drop" makes people think the worst (or least in this case) and everyone is going to think 13v or 12v will cause clipping. This is not the case.
  7. What Ed Lester told me was the an amp CAN indeed clip as a result of voltage drop, but it has to be extreme Like 7v, dropping to 12 or even 11 will not cause an amp to clip.
  8. A HO alt will be harder to turn. And won't spin freely as long. There is more mass attached to the shaft and more magnetic resistance. If it turned just as easy as stock, don't you think cars would have more powerful alternators?(Not the only issue i know but i'm just sayin.)
  9. Sometimes its the nature of the beast. The alt is flat out harder to turn. Get a new belt, that will clear is up for a while.
  10. Running the big 3 will NOT remove voltage drop. Especially on an alt as small as that. You get voltage drop from over drawing the alt. Thats going to happen wether big 3 is done in stock 8 ish gauge or done in solid copper 1" rod. Edit: DO the big three! Don't get me wrong it is important and almost essential. Just acknowledge that your gonna have drop until you up the alt powa!
  11. It IS a vs thread. Call it whatever you want.
  12. Your avatar, i need to know where its from before you get banned.
  13. Only the 3000, because it is 2 amps strapped internally.
  14. These threads are against the rules. Do some research.
  15. Too bad viper engines are pathetic. There are hondas that put out more power. Very respectable wrench time though!
  16. You may even want to swap the pullies, If the alt is for another engine then that other engine may be including AC or Power Steering which would explain the smaller size. If the pulley is smaller for better low end output then there is potential for high RPM damage. Call the alt company to confirm.
  17. Find out what the car peaks at. Find a buddy with a system and throw it in your car for a night and test.
  18. They are actually insanely quick stock. If you get one spend a few months driving it stock, just to get used to it, familiar with it ya know? Then mod it. You'll be happy with it.
