just ordered my dd1. order # 100002362 could i get an autograph on it?

most drop ive found at a reasonable price is $500 for 1.5" drop springs, my thought is i have to take the whole strut out to replace the spring, i might as well replace the shock absorber as well, but the kits ive found with shock absorbers are like $3-4k, which seems like a little much to me

alright fellas i would like some assistance here. im searching for lowering springs for the mitsubishi. im kinda in between here. the car sits kinda low as it is now, but at the same time i dont care for the wheel well gap. it isnt a whole lot of gap due to the 18's on it, but i think if i could lower it to get rid of the wheel well gap, but keep the ride quality that would be ideal. i dont know if i could do that, and thats why i need your help with suggestions. should i just replace the springs, or do a full strut? im not sure. here is a picture of how it sits now. and yes i am aware of the tire size difference in this pic. i have tires on order for it. they are just a hair shorter on the sidewall than the rear tires. any suggestions? id like to keep the budget as low as possible, but at the same time im not afraid to drop some cash to get a quality ride. thanks in advance fellas car is a 1996 mitsubishi eclipse spyder gs

i would try to stick with the motor you currently have. upgrading an engine takes a lot more work than just pulling the old motor out and putting the new motor in. upgrading the engine that much will require the motor, transmission, rear end, PCM, BCM, a fuck ton of wiring, and if everything goes smoothly roughly 75 hours of work if you are lucky, if something messes up you are looking at one hell of a headache, and a fuck ton more time to figure out what went wrong. you would spend way more money than the vehicle is, or would ever be valued at. you are better off selling the vehicle and buying something with more power from the factory. also if you were to modify the vehicle like that and you were to get into a wreck you would instantly be at fault, due to heavy modifications to the vehicle. in most states you would have to have the vehicle inspected by the dmv to see if the vehicle would even be allowed on the road, and if it was your property tax would probably go up, and your insurance would skyrocket. the VIN wouldn't be correct as far as engine and transmission goes, which would make it near impossible to trade in, and anybody wanting to buy the vehicle, who knows a thing or two, would probably know that something isn't right about the car. just to put it nicely i wouldn't do it if i were you, i would sell it and buy something else. ill break it down for you here cost wise: 383 crate motor: $3,395.00 turbo 350 transmission: $1,099.99 Chevy 4.10 rear end: $1,100.00 PCM: roughly $1,000.00 BCM: roughly $1,000.00 engine wire harness: around $500.00 Beer:$100.00-$150.00 (depending on how much you drink) already up to over $8,100.00, and that's assuming you have the tools and you can do it yourself. you could buy a better vehicle with that. hell i just sold my camaro with a 383 stroker in it to some guy for $6,500.00. look around and really think it over before you go ripping the engine bay apart. if you decide to do the swap, post some pictures along the way, im sure the guys and gals here would love to see it. edit for spelling and math errors

well folks i have bad news, and good news. bad news is i got an offer on the camaro, and i took it. i paid $2500 for the car, i was outside cleaning it today, and a fella came rollin up sayin that he was lookin to buy one, cause he had one a while back that he loved, and he regretted selling it. blah, blah, blah. long story short i let him test drive it, and he loved it. made me a $6500 offer, and i said hell yea. i wasnt even tryin to sell it, but i had my eye on another camaro, and i think i can get it now. ill post the pic the dude sent me. this guy wants $7500 for this camaro, but it is worth it. it is an axle snapping monster Edit for pic of possible new camaro. i would just put a idler pully in its place. if you dont use the ac, just pull the compressor off. set it aside in case you want a/c again. i would save up and get the OEM pully just in case, better to have OEM quality parts that some brand that hasnt made a name for itself, good or bad. last thing you want is to spend money on a part and have it go out in a month. just my .02

Update bump. The t10001bd is no longer for sale. I sent it to Rockford today to get repaired. The punch 1000 is still up for grabs.
