  1. only if the port was longer, there wouldnt be a problem with bracing. boxes i build without bracing turned out fine. even with a heavy level 5 and 6, there wasnt a problem. but in this case, brace would be a good idea. thanks for the idea cvx
  2. wouldnt be a problem without bracing. since they are around 70lbs total. ..BUT then again, i will not be builing the box, so you are right. lol. edit - 2x2 can be an option from top to bottom, and wouldnt change much on the internal size and tuning. will be post final sketch in a minute.
  3. should be a decent size box. ill make a design for 7-8 cubes before displacement, and maybe shoot around 6 cuft after displacement tuned to 34-35hz. what amp do you have?
  4. It's all in the box. You can put 20k rms on a sub, it is how you build the box. But to answer your question, it will, IF you make the box right.
  5. I did it from cig lighter or acc wire tapped from the HU and case closed. Remote wire doesn't work for me anymore
  6. I have the 15in with the level 5 coils and I have to say that it is a good sub music. Tuning it at 34hz will be good to have a feel for teh lows. That is how I had my boxes for the level 4, 5, and 6, and I can play pretty much everything. If you only getting the level 4 with original level 4 parts, get a 1k-1.5k amp because with more power, they will bottom out (depending how many spiders DC will put, I'm having that issue with the level 4 I have with a kicker zx2500.1 lol). With the 18, box tuned to 34hz and pushing it with a 1k-1.5k, you will not be disappointed.
  7. pfft. Audacity Shmahdacity, So uh, i'm an audacity noob. Tell me more. google and youtube bro.
  8. got any idea on where is he now?
  9. these are some beastly subs for the lows. i had 1 like 2 years ago and i got to say, i regret selling it. op, if you ever think of selling them, lmk, wither its working or not.
  10. Fucking this. I used to go to the high school off nason rd by the 60, it wasn't so bad until I left in 2009, where it was getting worst, and a student from the same school I went was kidnapped and murdered in 2010 I believe. My wife knew her as an acquaintance. Norma Lopez. I remember that, really sad stuff. I was still in highschool at that time, shit was on major lockdown for a good while. It makes me glad that I have yet to fix my trunk problem (sticks really bad when you try to open it up), cause they could have easily popped the trunk and had fun with my 2k and 4 channel. What makes me think it was a kid is the fact that the iPod cable is gone, and all my speakers were there. Probably were walkin' home from school. Saw the cord and said might as well take this too and yanked the screen. Bingo. I keep my windows up all the time and make sure I hear the horn off my car when I look the doors. Last time I had it unlock when some punk bitch tried to get in my car. But only made it to my glove compartment when my sisters ex saw and knew the guy in my car. Chased him, but only got his friend that was with the thief and beat the shit out of the friend. Now he doesn't live at his house anymore
  11. True. And I thought I seen it all when I was living in east los Angeles. I'm blessed that here in Houston, castle law applies. Have my 12ga loaded with the safety on right next to my bed.

  13. Same here. But he was a buyer and very, very understandable when I was low on cash to send the 4 mid bass he bought close to a year ago. But I kept in contact with him. And of course, he received them in 1 piece. I wonder if he used it in his recent build. Btw, do not hesitate to do business with this guy.
  14. I would just prefer to have it inverted so that if anything were to happen (hopefully not) then I'd be able to smell it almost immediately. That, and I love the way the ass end looks with the American flag and all. AMERICA. FUCK YEAH! (Just was wanting to make sure inverting wouldn't affect performance or anything like that) USA FTW, there is always a bright side on inverting, and a grey around. Bright - saves a bit of space internally when figuring displacement. Grey - if you have a SUV and no tint, easy target for jackers (especially they think its a better sub with the made in USA sticker, and looks beefier than your regular kicker in local shops). Sometimes you would freak out if the box will tip over, since its top heavy(tried it once, and it cares me everytime I turn)
  15. Nice work. But ill rather save the trouble and get the jasper, got from any specific size.
  16. He ain't lying. Had my bc3500 with 2 batteries and a 270a, dropped to 14 on full tilt (starting at 14.7), not power hungry. And very very solid. Could play down to .35ohm (if you know what you are doing) Crescendoaudio.com The site is still down, but they have an email and a number for contact.
  17. You could get a decent 3k amp for the same price you would sell the 1000/1.
  18. Icing on the cake, with a cherry on top. LOL I would do 2 different frequencies, reason why because you may never know if your car would lowering the tuning on your box, or have a low peak resonance frequency. Just my .2 Edit - *saved image on phone*
