  1. termlab is exactly 0.1 dbs lower, here´s a 5 minutes long video showing all the test i did with my old system, hope it works for you
  2. which mic on the audiocontrol? ive been metered on both the 190 and 170 mic. SPL-190 my friend
  3. the subject isn´t about what meter is the most accurated lol, OP that app is bullshit, there´s no way you´ll know exactly how loud your system is until you meter it on a real sensor P.S: Audiocontrol SENSOR is also only 0.1 dbs off the termlab
  4. well, don´t get me wrong, the 309 still pounds, just not as loud as the 307 was, now, the cvr is WAY louder than the 307 if you ask me, but around here the cvr it´s over 100$ while the pioneer it´´s around 65$, what´s the price of the cvr? if the price is similar then i would definitely get the cvr!!
  5. Well, thank god i´ve gotten good results with small amounts of money, but i would definitely say that the best "cheap" option it´s the pioneer subs, it´s just crazy how loud they can get on a proper box, each 12" sub cost around 65$ around here, i guess over there should be around 110$ for both subs, of course, i haven´t try a lot of good brands out there, maybe you can get louder with a single SA 12???? i don´t know, you would need input from other guys that has way more experience and knowledge than myself. This is the model i´m talking about, if you can´t find this one, i wouldn´t get the new 309 series http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Subwoofers/Champion+Series/TS-W307D2%7CD4
  6. ehehehe now this one is a loud guy for sure, how´s the weather over there??? yeah those pioneer are amazing, BUT, i can tell you this, those subs are no where near as loud as the old 305 were, even the 307 is louder, the new 309 line sucks ass compared to the old one, they get hot faster, doesn´t get as loud as the old ones were on the lows, etc etc, still very nice subs, but, if you can find the 307 series you would get louder
  7. I buil a kia rio, it´s a trunk car, 2 pioneer 309 400 watts 55$ a piece, single DD m1b wired at 1 ohm and stock battery and alternator, box is 3.2 cubic feet and 2 4" aeros tuned to around 40 hz since he loves higher frequencies, car does a 145.2 @ 52 hz and still does a 143 at 42 hz , i guess that, with a lower tuning he could be doing around 144 dbs @ 42 hz wich is amazing for cheap subs and small power in a trunk car if you ask me
  8. Not even close hommie, it has a 140A alternator, XS Power D5100 on front and an old stinger in the back, amplifier is wired at 0.5 ohms and we were abusing that system for a long time just before recording that video , but generally speaking, it doesn´t drop below 12.8v with some really shitty wires lol LOL hahahahhahahahahaha that was awesome, i agree with you, latin whores FTW lol
  9. thanks a lot hommie, there´s also a new team member with this brand, and trust me, it´s one of the big names out there, as soon as he get the products i´ll release the info
  10. Thanks a lot bro, yeah i´m a big fan of getting LOUD with small and cheap equipment, i´ve been working on that for almost a year now, and man ié gotten lots of great results Thanks a lot good sir
  11. Here when you could still do it, it´s a decaf version... Thanks a lot James, believe it or not the camera doesn´t pick as much flex as it actually does on the real life lol, i´ve seen a few yaris systems, just not as loud as this one using the same small cone area and power. Electrical consist on a XS Power D5400 on front and an old ass small stinger battery on the back, cheap ass audipipe 0 gauge and a Nissan versa´s 140 amps alternator, amplifier is wired at 0.5 ohms, never dropped below 12v after lots of time paunding the system, regularly it doesn´t actually drop below 12.8v
  12. Thans a lot hommie, it´s actually a BP that i build for my explorer, it did a 144.2 @ 28 hz in there, the yaris it´s at least 3 times louder than my truck, i would say it does at least 146 @ 32 hz but who knows? i´m actually not gonna meter it since we got the box in therej ust for fun and i know i could get heartbroken with a shitty score in that car lol Yes i´m very impressed with the esults also, it´s definitely a very stupid small cone area and power, it plays awesome on music, shit´s loud from 22 to around 50 hz wich is perfect for the goal i was trying to reach, i might retune those ports just for fun on a few days and get even nastier to the ears with a 42 hz peak
  13. Yeap, it´s loud, already cracked the windshield, not bad for 135$ subs, counting the days until i sign the contract and i become this brand´s rep for latin america
  14. oh yeah you definitely needed more port, flare that port in the future and you´ll get WAYYY more output that you already have with this new port, congrats on the progress!!!
  15. Port area it´s way to small if you ask me, i wouldn´t use anything smaller than 230SQ for that pair of subs
  16. What subs? lots of people think the port depends enterly on the box size and that´s not how it works at all, yes box size it´s a major factor but the sub is also, if you want to feel even bigger difference then flare that pvc, here´s a DIY video on my channel, works awesome everytime i use that method And this is how they end up looking.
  17. yes they are very nice, my C6 played for way over a year without protecting a single time, played also at 0.5 ohms daily and 0.25 ohms for burps strong as hell , so yes, they are very good amps
  18. yep, every car is different, without a termlab to test those things out before the show, i wouldn´t suggest closing any vents or moving seats at all, my swift dropped a full db just by moving he seats forward while my explorer gains a few tenths by doing the same thing...
  19. Some AWESOME inputs from a couple of loud guys with great knowledge, i do agree with them, i stopped worrying that much about impedance rise long time ago, i prefer efficiency just like skittles, bigger boxes don`t need that much power , my current box has something like x3 impedance rise and still does a 147 @ 41 hz using a 2K amplifier and 2 12`s Also like BK said, if you are tuned to 40 hz and burping @ 45 hz you might be tuned to high for comps, but that depends on way too many factors, i can tell you this, NO MATTER WHAT THE BOX SIZE IS, my explorer gets louder tuned below 39 hz
  20. nice scores old friend, like we have talked in the past, anything tuned below 40 hz gets louder and louder, that`s a sick score indeed for such an old subs and small power , i would LOVE to see you trying some park and pound, that should be nasty
  21. I hate english sometimes, how come "Bass" is pronounced "beis" but celtics player Brand Bass is pronounced "bas"???

hahahaha thanks a lot guys, it means a lot to me, believe it or not, i NEVER took any english course, i learned by watching TV mostly, BUT, i have to tell you this, my english got WAYYY better as soon as i started posting and reading at SMD, so, thanks a lot to all of you guys, because i´ve learned more things that i could imagine on this forum :)

    3. KillaCam

      KillaCam

I always wondered this myself lol, makes no sense.

  23. 2 6" aeros it´s very small for that sub, try 3
  24. It worked pretty nice actually, i didn´t own a TL back then so i was blind as hell , that box was 4.8 cubic feet and single 12" aero with a 49 hz tuning, only for SPL comps wich i used only one time, like i said, no TL for testing so i didn´t retune, shrink, move seats or anything, still did a 148.8 @ 53 hz using a single battery and a SS xxx 4k @ 1 ohm lol, that score could have raised a lot with some testing i guess, i´ll never know
