  1. Where are you from? español? i can help you out since i work with metric also, besides that, i know a few things about those subs
  2. Single 4" aero? box looks good
  3. like i said, i tested every amp people was giving me, some of them were 1200 watts and others even 1800 watts, like i said, that little test wasn´t meant for finding the best amplifier on that power range, it was just for helping people to choose whatever amp they want to get depending on the budget they have, nothing more than that, of course i´m aware about the thing we are talking about, almost none of those amps have the same specs at 2 ohms, in other words, the a cadence 1600 @ 1 ohm and 800 @ 2 ohms could lost againt a db drive 1500 @ 1 ohm and 1000 @ 2 ohms if it´s wired at 1 ohm, i totally understand your point. By the way, remember that the DD m1b it´s also 4gauge input, but i´m with you, a +1600 watts amplifier with such a crappy input sucks ass IMO, looks exactly like the shitty SD 8K with single inputs, man i fucking hate that amplifier, worst piece of shit i´ve ever owned lol
  4. i didn´t test only those 2 amps, i tested 11 different amplifiers from 1200 to 1600 watts on specs, the brz1200.1 was the smallest i tested, i´m saying that the AP1500 it´s way stronger than the hifonics, all the amplifiers were raising to around 1.1 ohms, that test was only to show the real watts they could make at a final impedance of 1 ohm on a good electrical with the gains set with an O-scope, nothing more than that, the AP1500.1 it´s stronger than the BRZ1200.1period! wich one can take more abuse? play for more hours? i don´t know, that little test was just for fun , if you think it was pointless then be my guest, but it helped many people to maybe choose one over the other one when it comes to buying a new amp on that power and price range, the RF1500.1 lost against the DD m1b wich is cheaper, just an example
  5. what kind of music you like the most? what power are you gonna feed them? i know how to get those subs LOUD as hell
  6. Just like the AP wich isn´t meant to be wired at 0.5 ohms either, i did that testing with the amplifiers wired @ 0.5 ohms so i could get an impedance rise to 1.1 ohms and make the test very accurated
  7. Yes, you should get a nice F3, you could definitely play from about 28 hz without any problems, like i said, that´s a badass sub for sure, you could get away with 3 4" aeros but i honestly recommend you a bigger port area since you could get a way stronger output
  8. big ass box, was it louder facing up or forward?
  9. Pioneer champions FTW!! 350 watts a piece and cost about 40$ each sub lol, they can get LOUD on small power, i built a single 12" of that model and a sony xplod 400 watts 2 channel amplifier in a trunk car, does 140.5 dbs on a daily box
  10. can´t see the port very well, but surely looks small as hell
  11. I did an extensive test with amplifiers from 1200 to 1600 watts on their manuals, i did tried the brz1200.1 against the ap1500.1 , both of them wired at 0.5 ohms and gains set with an O-scope, the AP1500 MURDERED the brz1200.1 by 500 watts and 0.7 dbs louder on the termlab, i wouldn´t change your amplifier for the brz1200.1 unless he gives you some extra money lol
  12. Well, box measures you have on your last image should murder in that car
  13. haha yes, 16 ascendant audio havocs 12" , his name is Pipo Sanchez here´s a vid of my demo with him, pretty cool guy P.S: off topic mode FTW lol
  14. Install is everything man, and about the audiocontrol, it was a mic 190 or the sensor?? i don´t care that much about the score actually, i mean, a ext cab is LOUD as hell on the meter if you place subs front and port up, but for music, subs up and port side is my favorite, this shows you that sometimes scoring a better number on the meter doesn´t mean it plays nicer to your ears
  15. Yes, i´m familiar with sundown, they definitely play better on a smaller box wich is great!! Like i said, box can definitely wor better on a smaller space, but port should stay almost the same, remember, port size depends mostly on the sub, single 8" is definitely way too small for a pair of zv3´s if you ask me, what did jacob told you??? what tuning do you want? i wouldn´t go ANY smaller than 3 6" aeros, and it´s still a small port area for that pair of subs man, do you like the lows that badly or something? if you keep the same 8´s your tuning frequency should raise about 3 hz by shrinking the box from 10 to 8.5 cubic feet, take that in mind... P.S: you can always get those 8´s longer...
  16. that´s a monster box!!! Should get loud as hell, looks very similar to a box i built recently for a pair of DD 2515´s , i tuned it @ 37 hz tho, in a SUV did a 150.6 @ 44 hz using a m3 wired at 0.5 ohms
  17. Something you have to take into account, is that the port area depends mostly on the sub and how flat you want the respond of the box, 2 4" aeros is WAY too small for that badass sub, i don´t know if you want a nice bandwith, having a LOW peak, etc etc, you said you want to tune it @ 30 hz, why that low? you would end up with long aeros that would shrink the box even more, that sub can definitely play below tuning frequency very strong, maybe 33-35 hz tuning is more than enough. Said all that, joe X is right, a single 8" port could do the job, would play very nice on every frequency you play, i would try to use 2 6" aeros, you can use PVC pipes and make some nice flares with a heat gun, or spend extra 70$ and buy a pair of aeros @ partsexpress wich i honestly think it´s your best option, they are 17" long and would get you around 36 hz tuning and 5.4 cubic feet after displacement, that box should play VERY nice in my opinion...
  18. i would try aeros, that can save you a lot of room
  19. at what frequency?? that´s just awesome man, great score on only 4K, i envy you
  20. sealing off the wall shouldn´t add you instant 5-6 dbs, that score is pretty low, i gained only 0.8 dbs by sealing my wall of and trust me, it´s very well sealed, you should post box specs, pictures and everything you can so we can help you out a little bit more...
  21. Port area depends on a lot of factors, not only the box size, but mostly on the sub, what subs are you gonna use?
  22. Only 74 SQ of port? damn! that´s small bro...
  23. i´ve tried a couple of RE subs before, they are nice but nothing impressive if you ask me, only model i LOVE it´s the MT, anyways, A/A havocs it´s a great option, one of the loudest car on earth uses 16 of them
  24. i can send you a few sinewaves if you want, but like my boy hotdog said, impossible to know without metereing what your peak is in order to choose a song, you could also use your "ear-meter" , what songs are louder to your ears with your current setup? we could help you out a little bit more with that info
