Tee nuts, Hurricane nuts, whatever, if it works like that, it'll work for what you want it for. Tee nuts are much cheaper online than in a store, so if you can wait a few days for them, get a bulk pack online. It's like a buck for 4 tee nuts at my local Menards and like 2 bucks for 8 philips head bolts, so it comes out to like 4 bucks a sub with 8 mounting holes. You can get like 100 tee nuts and 100 screw head bolts online for like 10-15 bucks otherwise, and then you're talking like 1 dollar per sub with 8 mounting holes. At the end of the day, either way is cheaper than buying a recone cuz you had to slam on the brakes and your 60+ pound sub ripped those wood screws out of the baffle.

Yeah, like BlitZ said. Use tee nuts. You might have to drill out the mounting holes on the subs though in order to fit the bolts through them though. Use 1/4-20 screw head bolts, and 1/4-20 tee nuts or M6 screw head bolts, and M6 tee nuts. You should be able to buy the tee nuts and bolts at your local hardware store (lowes, menards, home depot) for less than 5 bucks for enough to do one sub. It's not just a T-50? that seems odd. I picked up a whole torx socket set at my local hardware store for like $10. They are fairly cheap. If you want it now and don't care about the price, I'm sure the auto parts store would have the one's you're looking for.

IMO, do less internal bracing, and more external bracing, like a 2x4 outer frame or something instead, if you can.

Keep in mind that audacity will highlight a DC offset of just a few samples when you use the "check clipping" function. Even a really low note (mid 20s) can make Audacity freak out because it's such a gradual up and down motion. Your best bet to see clipping is to play the song in Windows Media Player with the scope visualization on. If there is visible clipping (horizontal flat spots) in the bass line that way, then you may have issues with that song. You could even more accurately see what your bass amp sees by first running a 100Hz 12dB/octave Low Pass Filter to the song and exporting it in audacity, then playing that file in Windows Media Player with the scope visualization on.

Try boxing one up and taking it to the UPS store or Pack-N-Ship place in Menominee. Usually it's the same price to ship anywhere in the continental US, so it'd probably be your best bet to get an accurate quote.

Try this: Take a piece of wood and trace the cut edge of the headliner onto it. Cut that shape out so that it's a notch. Mount it at the top of your wall so that you simply slide the back of the headliner into it before you put the moonroof trim and visors on. You can even get fancy and round the bottom part of the wood so it flows into your wall more smoothly.

Not quite sure what you're getting at here. From the looks of it you are saying that you want to cut your headliner in half so you can pull it out easily, but you need a way to keep the back end from just flopping around. Am I understanding you correctly?

Simple things usually work the best, try a system restore. Usually works for me when I have problems like that.

If it's just for daily listening, go ahead and do it. Just make sure you switch the phase on your amp to 180. No, it lowers your tuning.

All of the info in that thread explains a shitload if you read it all. When you invert a sub you are adding the amount of airspace of the subs displacement to the box, which will lower the tuning slightly. However, you may gain or lose loudness in doing so. If your box was a slight bit too small it could gain on the TL, if it was the right size it could lose a little on the TL. Almost every time, when metering, people find out they meter higher with the sub regular because there is a big ass basket and motor in the way of the forward sound waves when you invert the sub.

Make it so that the port is mounted to a removable plate. then you can have your big high tuned burp port in for competitions, then take the port out, then slide the lower tuned daily port and plate in.
