  1. I've had pretty much the exact problems. Usually only last for around an hour then it might not happen for days or weeks but then it will for an hour or so. Doesn't effect he sites usability. Just looks annoying. Haven't figured out why. On a iPad 2 here.
  2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALPINE-MRP-M1000-CAR-AMPLIFIER-CLASS-D-MONOBLOCK-1000-WATTS-RMS-AMP-GET-IT-QUICK-/300730207521?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item4604eacd21
  3. Still hot out... Time for my second shower. Got the one almost done. After playing around with some vinyl I think I can get it wrapped in one go, except for the door handle inset part. So I'm molding a piece that will clip in after it's vinyled to give it a nice look and clean line. And here you can see that I'm extremely far on the drivers door. Lol. I'll get started on it sometime this week.
  4. And it's officially too damn hot. Will start tomorrow. Started to prep one door. Got the arm rest off. Sucks melting the plastic rivets And here's the plan with the lights All you get is a teaser pic for now. And god damn this 100 degree weather needs to piss off I was 50% done fiberglassing them and I test fit it and that went about as good as a midget getting on a roller coaster. Had to cut the baffle out and mount it higher to get the clearance I needed. Ugly has hell right now but I got most of the fiberglass on. After some filler tomorrow I'll get a pic or two.
  5. Nothing much. Got both panels pretty much ready to fab into the doors. Going to pick up a pair of door panels this week to get started. Thanks to Ray and his vid I finally wrapped my first piece with vinyl all alone today. Lol. Here's just a proof of concept I guess. Inserts will be black, the door will be grey though, just had tan laying around. Thinking about doing some work. Just got back from the junkyard with some new door panels to cut up. Might start tonight. Got tomorrow off and have plenty of red bull for a day. Still thinking about how I'm doing the doors for sure but I'll make some progress by tomorrow.
  6. Starting over here. Old build log was getting long and mixed up so I'm starting fresh here. Going to be making some changes this year again. It won't be a fast build log. Taking my sweet time and going to try and act like I know what I'm doing this time around. Or atleast post the pics so it looks like i know, Ha. Here's the list of equipment I know will be in the car and I have already. DC Power 270XP XS D3400 up front XS D2400 in back Pioneer 80prs HU for processing Hertz Mille ML280 tweets Two sets of Hertz High Energy XL mids SMD VU-DIN SMD volt meter when ever they become available And that is all I know for sure. Plan to do a complete center console as well. Looking to put 3-5k of power to subs and a matching brand 4channel. Throwing around idea of 4 10s in a 4th order, 2 12s in a 6th order, two 15s ported, or a tunnel of something and hope for the best. Looking into Ascendant Audio, Fi, or DC I think but no clue. Don't care about the nuthuggers, just saying that's what I've looked into so far and will probably come down to. This will be a slow build. Like winter time before finishing if I'm lucky. But I'll be working on stuff from now til forever. Should be fun and make me hate myself so looking forward to it. only pic for now
  7. Just from my experience with the lrx amps they are super smart. And by that mean if there is my harm being fed into them they will head straight to protect time and time again until you sort out the error. You could have had one of the speakers grounding out anywhere. I'd check all of you wiring and inspect the wiring itself to make sure none of it is grounding to the car or itself.
  8. No, you're on the right track. It's my door panels I'm working on but by the time I'm finished I know I won't be able to wrap it without doing some upholstery work to get the shapes it has. Just too big of an area with to get in one go. Tried and had no luck with heating the vinyl. And I'm not a huge fan of the painted look.
  9. Along the lines of making patterns from nothing and the stitching part of things.
  10. Just wondering if anyone can link me to some places to read and learn or how tos or maybe you have projects I can look at. Been looking around for ideas and forums but not much luck. Tried fiberglass forums.com but it's been days and I still haven't got email confirmation to login.
  11. Whatever the price of parts plus 25-30 and hr for labor would be a start.
  12. It's. All in the box and the car. If the car peaks low you need to tune higher. If the car peaks high you need to tune mid 30s. If you want nothing but lows tune to low 30s. If sticking with sealed try different volumes. If the box is 2 cubes try making it a bit smaller. Add 2x4s or something to take up space. Also may need to try making the box bigger. Every application will give different results.
  13. The problem is the stereo knows drake makes bad music and doesn't want to reproduce it.
  14. As long as you use 3/4 mdf and don't plan on putting more then 2-3k on it you don't have to have bracing. Doesn't hurt anything but won't be needed. The box itself being rather small and the extra strength of the port wall will give it enough strength.
  15. I wouldn't trust it. Lol. But it's where I would start.
  16. A little closer to 2 cubes net. 2.1-2.2. 34-44inches of port.
  17. False. The Q is not designed as a spl speaker. They will get loud but from what I've seen a bl will be louder in the same setup. The Q sounds great though and kills the lows.
  18. How long are the temp probes on that piece? As in could they be extended to the front of the car or are they shorter?
  19. I call 45-60hz high bass. Anything above that your mids should be taking care of.
  20. Kmart parking lot off of shortridge and washington work for you? If so ill pm you my cell and set a time
