  1. its a dual flip screen lol i was dumb i know i didnt know much about car audio then and its got 2 volt pre out lol ^^^ I think i found your problem I would replace the deck b4 anything else get a good deck with 4 volt pre-outs and low and high pass filter and at least a 5 band parabolic EQ this will make your life easier
  2. if u have tryed tuning it and nothing seems to work then yes btw what deak are u using? does it have a 4-5 volt preout ?
  3. you have a BL12 on that amp? we did that too and the 1200 only seems to make enough power for that sub in clipping but dont do it as we found out by burning the tinsel leads. A bigger amp not forced into clipping might be the solution
  4. I believe the clipping light works off of rail voltage the DD-1 would be the better way to go
  5. the store near me sells them for $360 a pair bnib but things are more expensive up here in Canada because we get our stock from the US
  6. well it has been clipped and won 1st @ 2 slp shows and took 1st place canada nation wide this might of done it lol
  7. if it was getting that hot wouldn't my coils look dark not brand new like they do ?

what kinda car u got georgiaspl?
  9. 6 month old fi bl 12 just stopped working so i pulled it out and tested the coils and one coil reads nothing and there is a small cracks above the tinsel leads . how does this happen? i set the ssf so the subs would not bottom out and only fed it a AQ1200 . could it be i only gave it one week break in time? box is 2.1cf tuned to 32hz with 32.6" or port area . im just so confused coils look nice and bright/shiny .Any ideas of what i did wrong?
  10. are they new subs ? if so when they break in it will make a big difference
  11. is it possible to recone a bl with btl soft parts?
  12. pic would be nice so we might come up with a better solution for you
  13. thats not what jacob says. apparently when u use a bunch of sa-8 in a common ported enclosure they need very little enclosure volume like as low as .33 per sa-8
  14. i would be looking more at your amp/wiring for the heat issue altho having it in a common enclosure will make the subs think they are in a bigger box and might have more movement which could result in better cooling
  15. well its not turning off u can try a new power supply maybe try a format first since its free
  16. I agree with yellow tops not being good for car audio i bought two of the biggest ones i think they were 875cca and they had major voltage drop on just 1200wrms they i took them back and got two interstate megatrons of the same cca and problem was fixed
