If I may pipe up and say something...the 18xl per sub only needs 6 cubes x 2 = 12 cubes. Your @ 16 almost 17 cubes. I would regroup your thoughts on that try and get it to a little over the 12 cubes to account for sub displacement. Good Luck!

I recently got my mechman alternator in and am charging @ 16.5v with 2 d1400's and I must say one xl on 5300 watts is f'n epic, now my rear hatch really hates me and you can hear a massive metal drone but its all worth it in the end. Thanks Rusty, Mechman and XS!

Got my mechman alternator installed thanks to help from T money, and now I am charging @ 16.5v and I must say the AQ 3500 loves the juice. I am powering one xl 15 with 5300w and it likes it. And in a 4th order it does sound beast! Special thanks to Mechman and XS Batteries you guys truly deliver great products!

I will put a pic up soon...but basically cleared everything off the turn LT front apron and rerouted some wiring. I bought a 12"x12" sheet of 16 gauge metal. Brought it home set my battery on it outlined it and then bent up two edges to about 2" creating a tray. Next I filled in all the holes in the apron to keep road debris from getting underneath the tray. Set the tray in and created a level battery tray by using thick rubber washers. Ran 2" bolts through the battery tray down thru the apron. Before attaching the tray we took all thread and mounted it to the tray to use as a battery clamp. The bar across the top is actually a section of ground steak I bought at home depot for $3 and it works perfect. Before installing the tray I used 3M undercoating and sprayed the tray and the apron. Installed Tray and then sprayed undercoating on the inside of the fender well where the bolts were to keep things from rusting. Pics will be up soon!
