    1. BeatBox

      BeatBox

epic fail, i went thru the same thing

  2. Bondo and a sander. Use the sander to knock down any overhangs, then bondo it all smooth. Perfection takes time.
  3. NOW THIS MIGHT BE TRUE. AS IT WOULD BE MY FIRST GUESS ASWELL. BUT I DO HAVE TO ASK ANYWAY. BEFORE YOU MESSED WITH IT DID IT DO THIS PROBLEM>? Uh hey, you left your caps lock on...... And audiofanatics jsut got that head unit. Maybe he knows something.
  4. Hmmmmm that is weird. It kinda sounds like they wired the 12v constant into a remote. So every time the car turns off the radio goes dead and forgets its presets.
  5. I just play them quiet for a while. Each day turning it up just a little. Some people are against break ins. But if you hit them hard right away or slowly let them into it they will get broken in eventually. So I say why not be safe with your investment.
  6. 1/4 is a small radius. I think mine is 5/8. 3/4 is a really big round but looks sexy too.
  7. What do the fuses add up to on the two amps?
  8. I would look for something around 2000 watts. DC, AQ,Cresendo, or whatever else you find.
  9. Tracking number says I should get my 1.2K and mt friends Level 2 tomorrow! Too bad im leaving on saturday for the weekend
  10. Are your goals to get loud or just a "wow factor"? I think a port would get louder. And if you were going to do 4 subs, (2 working and 2 passive.) My not just get 4 working subs and be even louder? 90% of the people you meet wont have a clue what a passive radiator is and will just go "Wow it looks loud"
  11. Got a tracking number. My friends Level 2 15" and my 1.2K amp will be here friday Too bad I'm leaving for the weeking Going off roading in a friends Jeep
  12. I'm starting with the trunk where the emblems where and behind my license plate. I'm going to be replacing the doors as for the floor my uncle is going to fix it. No offence man, but with that amount of rust it isnt worth it. You could spent weeks straight working on that and it will just come back next winter. Trust me I know with my truck....
  13. I loved their original videos. Now that they have sponsors and everyone knows them they are getting kinda douchy.
  14. Needs more port area. And the Aero will be kinda close to the back wall. Just like I said in the thread yesterday.......
  15. Yea the one on the center consol for the passenger seat will turn off when someone sits down. Just the one in the instument cluster always stays on.
  16. Do the airbags still work even if the light is on? Cause if so then we wont do anything about it because being bass heads the car will constantly be taken apart.
  17. So once they reset it will it stay off? Or do I need some adaptor? And will it re-trip anytime I mess with the radio?
  18. Wait seriously? Fuck. I HAVE to go there to get the air bags working? I dont want the get there and then have them tell us we voided the warrenty somehow......
  19. There is no physical adaptor, unless its built into the stock radio. The radio has power and ground just no remote. It would have made my life a lot easier if they would have dont it the normal way. Next time he comes over we will plug the stock back in and see if it fixes it.
  20. Even if I pull the wire out and put all the fuses back in like normal the light still comes on. But maybe unplugging the fuse did something and the system has to be reset or something. Idk, I didnt design the car.
  21. Genius! Im doing alot of body work on my Ram right now and cant match the paint for shit. This should help!
  22. So, been working on my friends car for the past couple of weeks, some of you have probably seen the build log. Its a 2011 VW Jetta. Anyway the first thing we did to the car was install his head unit, speaker amp, and speakers. Ever since then his airbag light has been on, meaning his airbags arnt working....Kind of a big deal. I only have two ideas as to what happened. 1. VW doesnt use a remote wire to turn on their radio. Its weird they use some kind of CAN BUS adaptor thing. So for the remote wire I ran some 18 gauge to the fuse box under the dash and tapped in there. None of the fuses are labeled so I just picked fuses until one worked. So I could have done something there. Note: Even if I switch fuses the air bag light is still on. I have also never put the stock radio back in to see if that fixes it. Thats the first thing I will try. 2. This one is kind of a shot in the dark but just by taking out panels and such I could have messed with a connector. I never unplugged anything but you never know with new cars. They can be picky. Please drop a suggestion. We need to get this fixed because air bags are important.
