  1. Hi everyone. Well, I hate do this but it looks like I will have to change something a bit. At the moment, I have a single Solo X12" and ZX2500.1 amp (not installed in my truck just yet). Just as I was about to order a powerful ALT and batteries (which cost $1,000+), something came up unexpectedly and, because of that, I'm struggling with financially at the moment. So for the past few days, I was thinking about what to do and came up with the idea to save money. I was like "Hey, why not get any sub that can handle 1,250 watts" and, you guessed it, X-12" Sundown which is a perfect fit for ZX2500.1 that does 1,250 watts @ 4ohm. So I'm assuming that will be no problem without the need of ALT and battery, correct? I used to bumped a pair of S10"L7 and KX1200.1 for years and never had any problem at all with my truck. I'm expecting to do same with the new system. Thank you for your input and I'm looking forward to experience with Sundown product for the first time (I'm a long time Kicker fan). X-series Sundown looks great, by the way. -Smurfboy
  2. I really like the new version of subwoofers (with dust cap). The design of subwoofer looks better in my opinion. How you like it so far?
  3. Nice!! I only see 6 subwoofers in the video. I'd like to see pictures of a whole thing. Two thumps up!!
  4. Thank you for your input, emperorjj1. I will definitely keep that in mind. I will also update once I have it all done to see how it goes.
  5. Thanks! @Noelito, to be honest, it's hard to tell where the heck rattle sound comes from, haha. Got to be somewhere in the truck (aluminum/metal or something). If it's the wipers, then I'm sure I can come up with something to prevent this from happening (if I can, haha).
  6. In my previous setup system, I had a pair of S10"L7 powered by KX1200.1 and, when the bass gets heavy, I get some nasty rattle sound somewhere in my truck (Nissan Frontier ex '99). Well, the next setup will going to be solo X12" and, without Sound dampening, the rattle sound will going to kill me. So, basically, my major goal is I want to nail down the rattle sound as much as I can with the right Sound Dampening material. After a heavy research, I've decided to go with Damplifier Pro (bulk pack) and was wondering if this is the one that will help eliminate the rattle sound. Please bear with me as this is the first time for me and never had any type of sound dampening. All new to me, haha. My budget is unlimited! Thanks a million! -Smurfboy
  7. Hm, tempting to order 8 of 8"s and do 'em in the blow through style in my truck. Can you say "overkill"? *evil grin*
  8. No they are level 6 12s I had to special order them with the help of chode. Oh wow, really?! That's interesting. I didn't know they could make something like that.
  9. Looks great. Bet they hit hard and low. May I ask where did you get these subs from? I looked at DC site and I only see Level 6 "18. I assume you meant to say Level 5 12"? Just wondering.
  10. Very nice!! But.... Where's our little 8" subwoofer? Wasn't there a X-8" a while back or something? Just wondering!
  11. Uh, is it just me or I can't see the image? It's not showing up. Can anyone try again and post image? I'd love to see the subwoofers! EDIT: Ohhh, I just now realized this thread was posted way back in 2011. Guess I was late to the game, haha.
  12. [update]: 12L3 and ZX400.1 has arrived today! My wife just got tears when she saw what she got. She was so thankful. So thank you, Sonic! I will definitely take pictures of it later tonight or so. Kicker rocks.
  13. I just "got connected" with that amp. Nice, bro.
  14. Just got done ordered ZX400.1 and S12L34 last night! Hope my wife will love it. (She is completely clueless about this! Shhh, lol). Will definitely take pictures of everything once it arrive here. Thanks Sonic for an awesome deal. I appreciate it.
  15. This is beautiful. Black and white colors come together nicely on that sub. Does DC Audio sells any type of colors on dust cap on any subwoofer? Just wondering. I've seen some members here got pink, orange, etc. on dust cap.
