Ok, thanks. I thought would work, but I wanted to make sure.

I just received my new batt in the mail, and I now have an issue with grounding. I don't have the wire to do a pos (+) and neg (-) run from the front batt to the back batt, and I have my money set up to the point where I have a certain amount left to spend on deadener and wood while still having money left over for things like gas/food/going out during the summer. So my question is: Is it ok to run only a Pos run of 1/0 to the back batt, and have the back batt ground on the rear strut tower? I currently have a single batt set up and that battery is grounded to the front strut. I remember reading something about grounding rules/issues for different types of cars (like unibody cars and cars with an actual frame), and I want to ask here so I can learn more and not fuck anything up. Once I gather up the funds, I will definitely purchase more wire and do a neg run to the back, but is this OK for now? I want to learn as I go. Hopefully someone can chime in on this! Thanks for all the replies guys! I wish I had checked this thread earlier, I was just out running errands meh. I'll probably pick up some kind of rubbing compound tomorrow to get this stuff off. It's been on the car for as long as I've had it, so it'll probably take A LOT of elbow grease haha.

I really noticed it yesterday when I was washing my car, and I can't seem to get this shit off. I'm assuming it's caked on dirt or something. In some places where I rubbed real hard with just water and soap it came off after a while, but in other places it wont come off. Thanks for any and all help.

I had a friend who tried Insanity to lose a couple of pounds...he didn't stick to it after the 3rd week or so, but he lost a good amount of weight in the time he was doing it, enough for it to be noticeable. I think it would work, only if you actually have the weight to lose.

Black wire goes to ground, blue wire goes to turn on (amplifier remote wire for example) and red goes to constant 12V like amp power or battery positive.

So I haven't passed smog. 3 tests all result in no pass. It's really pissing me off and I honestly just want this thing to pass smog. It's a 92 corolla and so far I've replaced quite a few thigs. I've replaced temp sensors, air sensors, got the engine timing set correctly, new 02 sensor, and just recently I dropped 180 for a new cat (the old one was the factory cat.) Now I don't know a whole lot about cars and up until I got the Cat put in, I've had my father do most of this stuff on my car. I had a shop do the cat and my mechanic do the timing. Also, the check engine light has been on ever since I put a new motor in the car. Anyways, My dad did the 02 sensor about 4 months ago and this last guy I went to for the smog test (he is a friend of my mechanic, he didn't charge us for the test) was really leaning towards the 02 sensor being bad. Now I know I just got a new sensor in there a few months ago, it is aftermarket and the smog guy was telling me that a lot of aftermarket 02 sensors can go bad. He was reccommending a bosch sensor, or just going with the factory sensor. He also suggested that it might be one of the wires getting pinched or not getting grounded for the sensor when the new engine was put in. So my question to you all is Have any of you here had bad luck with aftermarket 02 sensors? Do you think the smoog guy I went to is right about a lot of aftermarkets not doing so hot? All of theses fixes and tests are cutting into my 1200 I had planned for an alt and bat LOL

I want to deaden my trunk pretty soon with something like damp or audiotechnix, anything will beat the PnS I have now. I see lots of guys wrapping their whole car in deadener in build logs on here and I figure I'll do that once my budget allows it, but I'm more concerned with road noise. I get horrible road noise in the cabin of this car, there is no deadening between the flimsy door panel and the actual door itself along with many other places. So will simple sound deadener work for reducing road noise? And if so, will one layer of something like 60 mil do the trick? or would I need more? Thanks.

Participants in the car audio community that actually have RESPECT and MANNERS, and actually think about others around them when playing their stereos at high listening levels get a bum rap. It's all of the rude braindead jerks out there who bump in residential areas, busy parking lots, at night and at stoplights/stopsigns that give us a bad name. There are unwritten rules of bumping that a lot of stereo guru's follow everyday. I am one of them. I have respect for others and turn my stereo down in the afformentioned areas to respect others because I have a higher responsibilty than them. Steve Meade (the man in the video) is a well known stereo buff who has respect for others. This video was shot in his private shop where he works on his cars, where no one would be bothered by the bass. This hobby has always been looked down upon due to the ignorant jerks who give us a bad name, and the circulated stereotypes through either word of mouth or even on the internet (check the description of the video). It is our right and choice put whatever type of speakers we want into our cars, and no one will take away our right. I do feel bad for you, and any other person who has to deal with douchebags who have no common sense. Karma, and voltage drop will be their demise. The Audio technix stuff is like 40 bucks for 25 square feet, still a bit pricey but from what i've seen its good stuff. Just another brand to throw out there. Edit: Dammit, ninja'd

They only have 2 40+ minute songs and a bunch of snippets of different stuff they've done on their YT channel. So If you like music, have an open mind and about 45 minutes or so to spare, check these guys out.
